  • Convenient carry case, efficient kit.
Used this compressor to air up after wheeling multiple times over our recent road trip. A great feature is the pressure shut off switch so when your checking tire pressure or moving to next tire it build pressure in hose then shuts off. As soon as you clip to new valve stem starts up. ARB offers a chuck with a built in gage I might consider. The only “ding” is the ARB air chuck sticks straight out (it’s only about 2” long) so makes the air hose end kinda long so even with the valve stem lock I found that I needed to hold it. When valve stem happened to be near the 12 o’clock position I could let it hang there. Worked great whether we were 90+ degree heat of Arizona (Kaibab National Forest) and Utah (Sand Hollow State Park and Moab) or at altitude after Black Bear and Ophir Passes. Currently running 33s KO2s on my 2020 Rubicon. Took maybe 1.5 minutes to air up each tire from 15psi to 36 psi per tire. I was impressed that in hot temps it didn’t over heat. As expected the compressor did get very hot after use, so I always waited to put hose back in the case. Good quality battery clips, hose and sturdy carry case. I know there are cheaper options but I definitely recommend this kit. If you’re running 37s or bigger maybe consider the twin. ... show more

  • Be careful of the hose melting at the quick connector into the pump with sustained use.
I have used this pump for the past 18 months on my MB Sprinter 4x4. These tires (BFG K02 275/70/R17) need substantial inflation for my 8500 hundred pound vehicle with street pressures around 62F/68R. On a recent trip, while airing my last tire, the hose melted through just under the anti-kink connector. Not good. I contacted ARB and they are sending me another hose, but I am going to put an 18" metal sleeved air hose directly after the pump before the ARB hose. Hopefully, this will resist heat better and prevent another failure. Just a warning that it is a good idea to keep a spare hose handy. I was fortunately at the trails end, and only had to get 10 miles to get to a fuel stop with an air hose. ... show more

  • Works great but bulky due to the hard case
This is a great compressor, it works well to air up our 265/70-17 tires on the 4Runner. Quick and easy. The only complaint is that the case is rather bulky. I should have gotten the kit to install the compressor under the hood of the car. I will do that in the long term, but I should have started this way, since I know have to spend significantly more than the "under hood install" pump. My recommendation: if you're looking for a pump to air up your tires after off-road driving, get one that installs directly to the car somewhere and be done with it. It'll be cheaper in the long run. ... show more

  • Great Comprossor
I've run this for a few years now, use it regularly; case is very convenient for stashing a couple extra compressor related tools. Unit has had zero issues, inflates 80 psig tow vehicle tires, 35" offroad truck tires, and with the case, is convenient to pop in the track car for HPDE. Got what I paid for, highly recommend. ... show more

  • CKMP12 portable review
This is a great little air compressor. The case it comes in is sturdy and the fittings are nice. The little schrader valve attachment works very well, but I wish it had a pressure gauge on it. Airs up my 35x12.5 from 15 to 35 very quickly. The hose reaches from corner to corner of both my JKU and my 145" wheelbase F150 (just barely, going underneath the truck). You will have to buy a separate wiring harness if you want to hard mount this inside your vehicle at a later date. The alligator clips are hard wired to the compressor. The one BIG drawback is with the alligator clips. They are simply too small. I have to clamp onto a nut on the battery lead, as the clamp will not fit over my battery terminal attachments on any vehicle that I own. The alligator clips do not have ridges on them, so the clamping is sketchy at best. I will be replacing the clamps on mine, but I shouldn't have to for the price this piece costs. ... show more

  • Lasted through only a few uses sent to ARB and worked again
After carrying this in the truck when going off-road for 3 years and using it several times it just quit working. It lasted longer than the 2 year warranty. It outlasted the Q Industries compressor that I bought previously which never actually worked in the field. That one worked in the driveway when I tested it, but never worked when I actually needed it. So, it was better than the cheap Chinese compressor, but didn't last. I contacted the manufacturer to see where I could get it repaired. They responded that it outlasted the warranty. I knew that. So far no help from them. Update - ARB checked it out for free and said nothing wrong. When it came back it worked again. I'm puzzled, will see how it goes in the field. ... show more

  • Pump seems great but air hose is rubbish
Takes longer to fill tires than expected but works. It takes about 20 minutes for four 33" tires from 15PSI to 41PSI. The air hose broke on second use.
