We have three small dogs- an elderly Schnauzer Yorker female, a middle aged male long hair Chihuahua, & a newly adopted young terrier poodle(?) mix also a male. When we adopted our newest we knew we would have to do his bathing & grooming at home for quite some time because he is highly reactive & nowhere near social enough for a groomer so we started looking for things to make baths easier. Aquapaw has really helped with baths. We were using the regular handheld shower in the past but it was so heavy that it seemed hard to think about doing 3 dogs regularly. Also the hose was too short to effectively reach under our Chihuahua so we would have to pick him up to rinse his under side further tiring our arms & stressing our one good bathing dog. The dogs also figured out they could “hide” in the back of the bathtub or under the legs of the person bathing them. The Aquapaw was really quick & easy for my husband to install following the directions provided. It doesn’t leak or interfere with the regular shower function. The long hose of the Aquapaw easily reaches under our little guy. There is nowhere in the tub that the new guy can hide from the water- not even behind our legs at the back of the tub since we both have to bathe him at this point. It is so much easier & faster to the rinse the dogs all the way clean. The long hose also makes cleaning up after bath time & cleaning the tub in general much quicker. The easy one hand on/off function of the Aquapaw is so much better than leaving the shower running wasting water & money or turning it off & on at the faucet which was highly upsetting to our sound sensitive girl. My husband was hesitant about spending $40 on this because we had purchased a different hard plastic model in the past & it cracked after being dropped in the tub after only few uses. Because Aquapaw is silicone there is no risk of this. Aquapaw makes a lot less noise if it bumps the tub while washing the dogs or if it is dropped, which rarely happens because of the convenient hand strap. Anything that reduces noise is real favorite in our house. Aquapaw helped make baths so much better that we are now bathing the dogs every 2-3 week except the time we get to do just one because the other two go to the groomer. Speaking of the groomer, we now take them every 6 weeks saving money. Since we have learned to bathe & condition our dogs properly (shout out to Go Groomer Amy Leigh for her great advice) their coats & skin have never looked better. I rarely write reviews on Amazon but was compelled to heap praise upon the Aquapaw. Our mini husky hated bathtime and as parents we hated the process/time-consuming nature of it. This truly has made it so so so so so much easier and faster. This tool really minimizes the noise and commotion of a running bath and as a result makes the bath process much less stressful for the dog. It also is super easy to use (at least for our little guy) without one of us having to get in the tub with him. Previously we'd have to get in with him, partially fill up the tub, and then use a container to scoop water over him. This allows me to stay outside the tub and basically give him a warm water massage and it basically works as a scrubbing brush too. This tool also helps quite a bit with loosening up excess hair if you have a shed-heavy breed -- just be sure to use a fur removal brush in a contained area immediately afterwards otherwise your dog will be shedding the loosened fur excessively for a few days. Because of how easy this is to use I'd also say it's made us more receptive to giving baths more often instead of being tempted to put them off for another few days. The only downsides I've noticed so far: 1) installation was a little tricky and slightly more detailed instructions/picture tutorials would have been nice when trying to figure out where each little piece goes. Either way, it was still pretty easy to figure out even without the details. 2) this reduces the water pressure quite a bit and I can see it being tougher and more time consuming to fully bathe a larger dog since water isn't coming out from the jets very rapidly. 3) The hand strap could be a little longer. I have it on the largest/most-extended setting and it is pretty tight when I put all 4 fingers in there. I don't even have what would be considered large hands so just be warned you may have to use it without being strapped onto your wrist or with only 3 fingers in the loop. Used the hand sprayer on my Scotties and they seem to be more relaxed while I used the scrubber on them. The hose was easy to connect, flexible, light, and much easier to use than the shower sprayer. Great product and very pleased with purchase.

I just got my dog washer and it used it on my old stinky pitty. It worked great! Took about 5 minutes to hook it up to the shower and super easy to adjust and turn on. The water pressure was what came out of the shower so it was great for my old dog. I also love that I can adjust the temperature of the water. The hose was long enough to reach her paws and belly. The hose was also flexible enough to move with me in washing her and didn’t get stuck or tangled up. Being able to set this up in the bathtub also gave me a seat to wash my dog from and the hand paddle was perfect for really massaging the soap in. It is also great that I can turn on and off the paddle with just a touch to the center of the paddle. If you are looking for an inexpensive way of turning your shower/bath into a dog wash, this is the product for you. ... show more
