    • Great investment!
We have 4 dogs, weighing from 50-120 pounds each. We previously purchased the elevated plastic dog baths found here on Amazon. The plastic alternative worked ok, but the dogs did not feel safe because it would wobble as they climbed into the tub or moved around in the tub, and while it had a leash restraint, it didn't prevent them from trying to turn around in the tub. This scared them & caused them to jump out with the leash still attached and the tub dragging behind them as they ran, trying to get away from it. We ended up just not using the leash restraint at all. They slowly got used to it more or less. The last time we used it, the base of the tub broke because while we were bathing one dog, another dog tried to jump into the tub with him. This caused the base to snap open where the leg locks into the tub. I'm sure it was due to the weight of the dogs. However, I didn't want to deal with it again. I appreciated the elevation while bathing the dogs, but it still wasn't a perfect system. I always had to bathe them outside, place my tub close to the hose, yet close enough where the drain hose would run into an acceptable location. Furthermore, medication I take makes me sensitive to the sun, so it was just an unpleasant experience all the way around. While searching for a new tub, I found this Kanis Bathing Station! I thought it was the perfect solution. I discussed it with my husband and we decided to make the investment. We installed in in the garage, conveniently located for both of us to use. The stainless steel material was perfect so we didn't have to worry about it rusting or loses it's durability in the heat (which is important as I live in the Southwest desert climate in the US), or having to go outside to bath the dogs. The ramp (versus the steps on the plastic tubs) is beneficial for my older dogs whose hips are starting to cause some discomfort. It has ample storage for everything I need to bathe my dogs conveniently available in the drawer below the tub. Unlike the plastic tub where I had to hand carry whatever I needed out & make multiple trips doing so. My husband hooked up the water lines to the sink, so they have softened water at a desired temperature to bathe in, again, totally opposite of the hose water they had endured previously, the water temperature depended on the weather - again, not great in the summer months or "winter" months. This is truly a perfect set up! However, the most important tool offered by KANIS was their customer service. Absolutely exceptional! Where my husband and I decided to install the tub happened to be between the water softener and the garage deep freezer. Unfortunately, that is also the spot where my husband put our house water filter. We managed to fit the the back splash of the tub between the water filter housing and the water filter itself, but it hit the rod part of the leash restraint. I contacted them to request additional end pieces for the rod (as we'd have to cut it, place end pieces in the holes closest to the water filter so the rod wouldn't slide out the open end) to allow for the filter to remain in place. (We didn't want to move that, and we had no other place to put the tub.) Over multiple emails exchanges, Alex from Kanis Grooming, contacted the manufacturer and had them send me exactly what I needed within a matter of days! That kind of customer service is so incredibly uncommon these days. I love everything about the company so far. Tired of spending 20 dollars to wash your dog at the pet store? Want a quality product, that’s going to have that wow factor before installing and after? Well I would say look no further because all expectations are fulfilled after using this product. Build time 1 hour. Very user friendly when it comes to assembly. Seems like it’s a lot to do, but once you get started it’s pretty fun to set everything up. Plumbing is quality, my husband is a journeyman plumber, installed it and one thing he could not stop talking about is the quality of the parts all together. It’s safe to say that a company like this put great quality all through out the product, down to the little accessories. My dog who is over 80 lbs had no problem using the ramp to access the wash. Sprayer is very powerful to get all that hair off the walls, which is a bonus because it’s a pain to get all the hair clean. Also has a nice sturdy plastic grate that you put inside that catches all the hair and help your pet not sit in water. Love how easy it is to move when needed, has 4 twist knobs that you can twist to lock the base in place or take off the base from the legs for easy storage. Love the cabinet drawer, which is a must feature to store my dog essentials. Drawer has a lot of room and feels very sturdy, can hold anything you need without feeling like it’s going to break. Overall super pleased with the product and I would definitely recommend this wash station to a friend. Probably won’t need to because I will have all my neighbors coming here to wash their pets!! Pros- Build quality, ramp strength, commercial feel, plumbing quality, side walls, closing door, hair mat. This bathing station is one of the best purchases someone can make specially if you own big dogs. It is quite spacious and I’am truly impressed by the quality and functionality of this product. I love that is big enough, it has plenty of space for storing bath items like shampoos, towels, and grooming tools, keeping everything organized and easy to have in hand. It is also made of a material that it is durable and easy to clean. This bathing makes way easier and confortable the process of bathing my dogs and i 100% recommend this item. I would say it is kind of big and heavy so it does take up quite some space, which could be something to consider but if that’s not a big deal i would say go for it. ... show more

I have assembled the bath and run water to it. I'm working on the drain now and will be able to fix any leaks after that is done. My opinion is the metal work on the bathing station is super quality and easy to assemble. The faucets and sprayer appear to be mid quality. The drain is not great. The drain fixture in my bath would not make-up to the 1-1/2" standard drain piping supplied with the bath. I bought a standard one on Amazon that has worked perfectly. I told the supplier about the problem and what was wrong with the drain fitting. They responded quickly and gave me a credit for the part and effort expended. Overall I think this is a good purchase. Kanis has been very responsive to correct problems. Update: my friends, who are professional groomers, groomed our ten Collies yesterday using this Kanis wash station. Very well packaged and well built. It’s on the expensive side so I pondered buying it but it’s worth every dime and I’m glad I bought it. It’s heavy and the fixtures are not flimsy at all. They’re very sturdy, heavy and feel expensive. I got the 50” with double drawers and it’s huge. I bath my 120lb bloodhound and there’s plenty of room. The drawers are very spacious and deep and smoothly glide in and out. It was easy to put together although you’ll need two people. I love it! ... show more
