I’ve been interested in a doorbell camera for quite sometime that was wireless. I purchased this AOSU Doorbell Camera and it is everything I was looking for. The picture is clear and has many features. Very easy to install. I purchased the AOSU Doorbell and received the package two days later the item was nicely packaged. I emptied the contents from the box and it came with a charging wire which I highly recommend charging the wireless doorbell before installing. While the doorbell was charging I went ahead and installed the AOSU app and it’s very user friendly. I turn the doorbell camera on and followed instructions to pair it with the app and it was fairly easy. I was then able to see that the camera was only charged at 68% and had a connection of 100% to my wifi. I went ahead and played around with the settings and paired the chime box with the doorbell and picked the sound I thought was the loudest. I went ahead and installed the mounting plate but I also purchased an angled mount since the entrance to my home does not face the front. I purchased an angle mount that was meant for other cameras but made sure the dimensions would work with the AOSU doorbell. I modified the mount by drilling four tiny holes on the angled mount and the AOSU doorbell fit right on.. Once the camera was fully charged I mounted the doorbell on the angled mount and tested it. To my surprise the video quality is very good. The doorbell circular light turns on when approached to be able to see it at night or during the day. The night vision is spectacular but I prefer color reason I turn on outside lights. A great feature is when the doorbell is activated the chime sounds off and my phone receives a call from doorbell to communicate with person at the door. That is just great. I also installed an 128Gb SD card to record activity and for no subscription needed. Overall, this was a great buy and highly recommend the AOSU wireless Doorbell Camera. Got this to replace my Ring doorbell and its better than. Wide angle view,clear picture quality,night vision,clear two way audio and the motion detection is amazing.With the easevof instillation and flawless app you cant loose buying this at a great price point. My only complaint is that the sd card slot is accessible to anybody being its on the side by the charge port.I would've hidden it in the back but thats just my opinion and if you save to the cloud then it dont really matter.All around peace of mind against would be porch pirates.This is my 5th cam ive purchased from Aosu and am pleased with it as i am the rest of their products. I am new to the video doorbell era and I thought I would give this one a try. The installation was very easy. It took a couple of screws to install the bracket and then the camera slid right in. It comes with a charging cable and an app that needs to be downloaded. The app is very user friendly and shows a clear, sharp picture of your intended area. You can also integrate with Alexa and Google, but I haven't tried that yet; I don't think it's a feature I would use. I have my doorbell on my front door and the video shows a wide view of the front stoop. I have the option to talk to someone at the door from my phone or use "canned" messages to communicate. It is very easy to hear and understand the person on the other end. Notifications come up when motion is detected. I find that there is a lag with the notifications though and sometimes, by the time the connection is made and showing the area, the cause of the motion is gone. That is a bit frustrating but there is always an option to record video and movement. I haven't ventured into that yet, but I know you can store video locally on an SD card if you want. A subscription is available but it is not required. Overall this is a great product with some robust features. I like it because I can use it in a very simple way or I can delve deeper into the technology and get more out of it. ... show more

I am a big fan of AOSU cameras, having had a variety of their different cameras for a year and half now. All of them - the solar panel ones (regular and panoramic) and battery powered have great video and sound quality and good night vision and visibility. I also purchased the doorbell last year and it also works great, but this new one was appealing because of the package detection feature and its wide angle view, 2 features which the more expensive doorbell camera does not have. Plus, it’s white and aesthetically nice looking, matching my house better than the current all black doorbell. As with all their other cameras, it’s so easy to set up and reliable, affordable, and saves money by having your own storage. In fact, this camera can accept a 128GB mircoSD card, whereas my previous one was limited to 32GB. You can’t go wrong with this. I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • I used to be a Ring fan until....
I have been using the ring ecosystem for years and am generally happy with it, as I used them for my rental properties and Airbnb/VRBO properties. Prices have gone up dramatically, and I am getting more and more hardware and connectivity issues. I started to look outside that ecosystem and found AOSU cameras and tried a couple pair and was blown away with the functionality , quality and price point. So when I started to look at buying new doorbell cams to replace my ring cameras, I tried AOSU's product and was once again blown away by the quality, functionality, and price point of this camera. It checks all of the boxes and more. It was very easy to install and set up the app. After seeing this product, I will never go back to the ring ecosystem again . A+++ ... show more

This video door bell was very simple to install. It needed four screws to fasten the plate and the doorbell attached to the plate. The doorbell ships with drywall anchors as well but I didn’t need them. The Aosu app was able to quickly find the doorbell and it was added to my device list. I use this and the other Aosu cameras so I have full coverage of my home. I am pleased with their products. ... show more
