One year update 28May2024 I have been cooking three or more meals a day on this cooker for over a year and I have nothing but great reports. Not only does it do a great job as a cooker but it cleans up so easily it still looks brand new - I really mean it - gorgeous, shinny black. Not a nick or scuff on the shiny surface after a year of daily use. I plan to buy another one in July for our summer house! As a cooker it works fine. Like any new technology it takes a bit of time to master the touch controls but by the third hamburger or pancake you know all you will need to know. We use it for every meal every day - trouble free, a pleasure to use. You should be aware that there are two minor cosmetic issues: the beautiful black ceramic finish shows fingerprints and the black plastic trim can be marred by the heat of the bottom of the pan - just be careful. Full disclosure: my original review was too harsh and I made a big deal about the fingerprints and the trim thing. Having used the cooker for eight weeks I can honestly say we really like it and we would be lost without it. ... show more

I bought this to cook outside on the back deck. The plates don’t get hot until I put pots on there which is wonderful. I like it so far. Both sides can get very hot. The whole is heavy so it can hold up really well and steady with big pots and wide pans.

Easy to use, clean and less energy than traditional coil electric burners. Heats very quickly so need to be aware of that when using or you'll burn your food and/ or kitchenware. Cooling fans are a little loud and there is a vibration that the induction coils create that most reviews do not mention.

Bought for 2 reasons. 1 use as an outdoor messy cooking device. Works great. And as an alternative to gas stove. Efficient, never knew how well induction cooking is. VERY. Makes me rethink our old school gas. Safe, although the surface might reflect pan heat and is hot to touch, nothing like standard electric or gas. No instant 3rd degree burn. No direct heat / fire near. But setting say a stainless steel tool on a live induction surface will heat the tool. 2. Emergency cooking in case of disaster and on generator power. Just impressed with efficiency and safety the induction method is. Must have steel based cookware. Cast iron and stainless. Unit is light and thin, storage is easy. Con. LED readout difficult to see in bright light. Controls are non intuitive. Reads in watts , Fahrenheit and other, I think most people do not know or care what Watts are or wrt temperature. Will take practice, but it works nonetheless and I think worthwhile. I’d advise a 14 awg extension cord purchased concurrently if you don’t have one. Ie the bigger the better especially when over 6ft. Note the unit is insulated so its a 2tang plug, no ground needed. But buy a grounded plug anyway for versatility for use with other things. ... show more

First it was delivered to the wrong address nearly a mile away and it wasn’t until over a month later that I finally got it. When I did The third time I used it I heard a pop and it stopped working. I had two single induction burners I used for years in the same outlets and they never stoped working just fell apart I need many attempts to contact the company with no success. I am usually very good at finding ways to contact companies but they made sure they could not be contacted. No listed number Emailed them several times no answer I wouldn’t buy strongly against buying this product! I was not even upset that it broke just that they couldn’t be reached Sometimes components of flawed and may work at first and then fail but there is no excuse for zero customer service ... show more
