Buy an extra table, vat, and the magnetic plate addons and this has been an awesome printer! Speed and quality are great. Use water rinse and submerge table in hot water, prints practically pop off. Buying at least one more very soon!

Great printer, great quality, requires slight learning curve (nothing trail and error + internet videos can't solve), also requires more post processing than FDM (i.e. you'll need to clean your prints from resin residue). In my opinion, the print quality is worth the added effort.

    • Good Product, Poor Documentation
PROS: 1) Comes pretty much assembled. 2) Decent slicing software, decent machine file out of box 3) Good Quality Prints Out of Box 4) Lots of community support on social media. 5) Easy to maintain 6) Low learning curve to get started with 7) This is not an odorless resin and skin contact with it should be minimal. There are many warnings to operate machine in a properly ventilated area and to wear proper PPE while using machine. 8) The lid is built so that it is easy to install 8mm UV LED Strip Lights. 9) Lots of build volume for entry level machine. CONS 1) Manufacturer Documentation needs work. The setup isn't clear and neither is maintenance, you get an idea of what to do but not a clear understanding of what to do. 2) Please build a better usb Interface and integrate in to hardware and slicer so we can direct connect machines to USB. 3) Update boot files so it is easier to recover machine files if there is a catastrophic machine failure or USB stick failure. Maybe provide ISO images for machines on your website. Something to make machine recovery for operators. 4) Upgrade to 64 bit hardware and firmware kernel so we can use larger than 32 gb USB sticks. 5) if more than 100ml of resin is in vat it is difficult to pour excess resin in to a storage container. 6) Better product support from company other than parts. At least there is a vibrant Anycubic community to offset this issue. SUGGESTIONS 1) A LED light strip with some corner connectors LED corner connectors would be nice so we can build out curing chamber lights on cover. 2) The way the slicer reads some stuff files and corrects mesh errors is, unfamiliar, some ideas for absolute entry level users (whom you are targeting for sales) for resources and information on how to solve these problems would be great. 3) Hire a good Technical Writer to redo docs and product wiki. After a week of experimenting with organic model 3d prints I was able to get them to work. It took most of my first bottle of resin to get started really making good stuff. The clear resin can have India ink added and the surface is kind of soft so going to experiment with dusting metallic powder on then curing. See if it blocks the UV or if enough gets through to cure model. Really easy to figure out how to print platonic solids. ... show more

This was my first foray into resin printing; and it works really well. I found this printer to be extremely easy to set up and use. It is way more intuitive than FDM printing, for sure - at least for me. I haven't had any real issues with this printer so far, other than occasional moments when the touch screen seemed to be registering a different selection than what I was trying to make. But that may have been the angle at which I was pressing the screen. The build plate is a decent size and easy to level. Full disclaimer: I did put a magnetic flex plate on to facilitate easy removal and better adhesion right out of the box. The screen protector is a p.i t.a. to install, but that's because I haven't perfected installation (that's on me). The vat is okay, and easy to replace the film. Make sure you download a good app to get the tuning right. It helps immensely with taking the guesswork out of whether or not you've made it tight enough. Now I will admit that since this is my first resin printer, I have nothing to compare it to, so my opinions are just that - and certainly have no basis in the mind of greatness. Other folks who have more extensive experience may have different opinions. Price was on point for me. I will say that I am looking for a larger format resin printer now - but only because I have designed models that will not fit on this build plate. A lot of what I do is on the larger side.     • This printer has a serious factory defect they have not fixed!
Do not buy the Mono X 6ks! Or at least if you are going to do not buy it from ACs amazon store. I bought 2 of these printers one from amazon and one from the AC website. Both of them are having the same issue. If you use the Anti aliasing feature that is used to help remove layer lines it will cause a "File damaged Print stopped" Error and terminate printing midway through. This has been a known problem in the community since it launched. You can google it and find threads about it. When I contacted them about the amazon printer I was told that I did not need to return it they would send me a new motherboard and that that would fix the issue and save me down time and shipping. They strung me along till after the return date and are now just saying sorry out of luck. Your printer doesn't work and we know it doesn't your problem. The Webstore aftersales has been working with me for months trying to resolve it and finally just told me to return the printer and they would give me a different model, but the amazon store is refusing to do anything. Its crazy to me that they are the same entity and one is willing to help and the other seems actively against doing anything. ... show more

I am brand new to the 3D printing game and this machine has been pretty easy to use. As long as you do a bit a research and have some patience to dial in your settings you'll be able to print out some really cool stuff at an impressive level of detail! I wish it had a better air filtration system but for the price I understand. Easy to set up and get started with immediately! ... show more
