Model: Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro
The media could not be loaded. Edit: Returned due to faulty filament sensor. Also it stopped accepting files from my phone. I could still push files via wifi from a desktop or laptop, but not from my phone. I'm not a techy guy and I'm not going to mess with it. It either works or it doesn't. This worked for less than 3 days. Returned!!! This review is for the AnyCubic Kobra 2 Pro. I've had a Creality CR10 Max for 3yrs and I can't make it print the standard benchmark tugboat. I gave up. I bought the AnyCubic Kobra 2 Pro and was printing that tugboat within about 1hr after I first cut the tape to open the box. I'm an absolute novice at this. I bought this because I was so frustrated with the above Creality printer. I want to print, not tinker with a machine. This Kobra 2 Pro was the answer. I had no idea what to buy and asked for help on TikTok. 3 people recommended this. I had to put a few screws in. Follow the instructions that are clearly written with pictures. The tools you need are included. It took me about 15 minutes to put the screws in and snap the wire clips into the correct spots. All the wires are labeled and coded for easy hook up to the correct stepper motor or print head. They've made it painless. I started with the AnyCubic brand of plain black PLA filament. No fancy adhesives or release agents. It sticks when it's supposed to stick, and it releases when its supposed to release. Easy. Lovin this so far. I went through the bed leveling program with the USB stick. I did the minimal setup required in the instructions and downloaded the AnyCubic app for my Samsung Galaxy S21. I printed the tugboat benchy without a single hiccup. It's perfect! 1st try! Downloaded a 3 finger grabby claw like found at the arcade. It's a single piece in the middle with 3 separate claws to print. It all printed perfectly and snapped together. It's a cute little 3-finger claw just like in the stuffed animal arcade game. Then I printed the articulating scottish terrier. Perfect 1st time! I got brave and went to bed after I set up a 3hrs and 42 minutes print. I'm gonna be really happy or really disappointed at the mess in the morning! LOL !!! I'm betting 1/2 dozen 3-day old donuts I'll wake up to a printed dragon. :) It's not that loud at all. I can't hear it in the next room. I would definitely download and use the AnyCubic app and their slicer for your phone. It allows you to pull in files and slice, then send directly to the printer. Obviously I'm at home and this is all wifi. It works painlessly. No glitches. No headaches. Set up the wifi password on the Kobra 2 and download the app for your phone. Point and click printing. No, I'm not sponsored by anybody. I'm $2,500 deep in a junk Creality printer and scanner that doesn't work because it's too complicated for a beginner. I was desperate to learn how to do this and needed a "plug n play" type machine to get my feet wet and learn. Later I will tackle the expensive hulk in the corner again. This has been a fantastic purchase and I'd recommend an AnyCubic to anybody with basic computer skills. If you can turn on a laptop computer and use it for anything at all, you can use this 3D printer. It's that easy. ... show more

  • Unfortunately, mine came with a defect, but I would buy it again in the future, I miss it
Model: Anycubic Kobra 2 Max
The media could not be loaded. It is a product that perfectly meets the specifications stated by the manufacturer. It is easy to assemble and comes with some extra accessories. There are several videos available if you encounter any problems, and the technical support from Anycubic and Amazon is very effective. Plus, it's aesthetically pleasing. It has good print quality, and its calibration was very easy, so if you are a beginner, it won't be difficult. Its interface was very straightforward, and I used Cura for slicing. It had good bed adhesion, its replacement parts are affordable, it has a very large bed, and it reaches a good height. It is a bit noisy when printing quickly and can move everything around it, but it is mesmerizing to watch it print so fast. After a while, I had a technical problem that I tried to resolve. Anycubic was very attentive in helping me, but there was no solution, so they asked me to return it and gave me a refund. But I miss it. ... show more

  • Size and speed are useless if it can't handle the basics.
Model: Anycubic Kobra 2 Max
I have had 3 years experience 3d printing various table top models and game pieces large and small with an Anycubic Vyper that I have been happy with. Positives: Out of the box the Kobra 2 Max was relatively easy to put together. Wifi simple enough to set up and calibration, auto-leveling, and vibration compensation easy to run. Menus are easy to navigate The size and speed are impressive for the price especially for people who haven't upgraded their machine in a while. Negatives: TL;dr: everything else. When printing with brim, results varied even with no changes made to settings in slicer between prints, and regardless of cleaning/replacing parts, rerunning auto-leveling, etc. Brims would print very messy with strings going every which way, and either way too thin and crispy, or glopped all over the place. The machine would randomly print too high or too low. Many times it would start prints millimeters above the print bed causing nothing to adhere, or start too low dragging and scraping the nozzle along the print bed. This would happen after looking at steppers, adjusting files in slicer, and re running all calibrations and leveling. Prints would have inconsistent z levels leading to gaps in the layers. Machine would knock into supports causing prints to fail. Even test prints would have issues. Printer obviously has a huge footprint and the weight to match. Combine that with its acceleration and speed you have a machine that will shake even the most sturdy of tables like a bully shaking a nerd for their lunch money. Even at less than half speed it is still an issue. Fine tips of prints come out very globby no matter what settings are used. Machine does not handle overhangs well. Could these problems be troubleshooted further and maybe even solved? Yeah, probably with tech support and maybe replacement parts. But you shouldn't be expected to do all of that for a machine straight out of the box. There is no point to size and speed if you cannot trust your machine to handle larger/longer prints. Machine was returned. ... show more
