  • Worked. Good price. Poor packaging.
Package was totally crushed but, it worked. I almost didn’t install this because of the extensive damage to the package. It was shipped in a plastic bag and the factory box was crushed. Will have to replace the faceplate but the GFI appears to be working properly.

  • Follow the directions.
I installed it using the 'top' (i.e., load) lugs instead of the 'bottom' (i.e., power) lugs and it did not work at all. I put in for a refund. I ass - u- me[d] that the power to load lugs were on common node on each side (i.e., the black wire side were internally connected power to load lugs, and the white wire were internally connected power to load lugs). The white wire, and I was using the push in and tighten clamps as opposed to wrapping around the screw and tightening, pulled out of the back of the unit, so it obviously was not properly gripping. I moved the wires from the load side to the power side (the top to the bottom of the unit oriented such that when you look at the front face, the plugs look like little faces) and the unit came to life after switching the main breaker back on. It works like a charm. I'm keeping the return and paying for it for a spare. ... show more

  • Reliable and Easy-to-Install GFCI Outlet
As a DIY enthusiast, I recently upgraded my outlets with the ANKO 20 Amp GFCI Outlet, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The installation process was quite simple, even for someone like me who isn't an electrician. The clear instructions made it straightforward, and I had it up and running in no time. One feature I really appreciate is the LED indicator. It provides a quick and easy way to confirm that the outlet is functioning correctly, which gives me peace of mind, especially when using it for my outdoor tools and appliances. The tamper-resistant design is another great aspect, making it a safe choice for households with kids. Using this outlet in both indoor and outdoor settings has shown me its versatility. It's weather-resistant, so I don't have to worry about it failing in harsher conditions outside. Plus, the decor wall plates included in the package are a nice touch, giving a clean and finished look. The only minor downside I encountered was the slightly stiff insertion of plugs initially, but it eased up with use. This GFCI outlet has significantly improved the safety and functionality of my home's electrical system, making it a valuable addition for any DIY project. ... show more

  • Great product
For the money, this is a great product so I bought 2 of them, one to install and one as a spare. Installation was a breeze. The only issue I found that I didn't see covered in the instructions was, after installation when it's ready to use, the GREEN light is solid but the RED light flashes once every 28-30 seconds. Thinking I had a problem on my line, I researched the cause of the light and found this: "The red flashing light every 28-30 seconds is normal and indicates the GFCI outlet is functioning properly by conducting periodic self-tests. This is a designed feature to ensure the outlet's ground fault protection is active." I recommend this GFCI. ... show more

  • Outlet does not work
I have installed the ANKO GFCI outlet made in China according to the instructions received and I could not have the green light confirming that the installation was OK. I did another time the installation and nothing happened. I decide to buy another Greenfield made in USA type CGFIVBRS outlet series and it works after 05 minutes installation. I will not buy any more products from ANKO ... show more
