There are a few reviews stating that the device will shut on and off sporadically. It does. The device needs a specific amount of power. It will stay on when it does. I had mine connected to a specific outlet that was connected to other devices. This was the issue. Also, it will connect to the last device it was connected to. I have my phone connected to a separate FM transmitter and no issues so far. No lag or interference. Make sure your phone or device is connected to the device’s WIFI if it doesn’t connect after a few seconds. Check your Bluetooth settings as well for the device. I also attached a magnet to the rear of the screen which allows me to remove it in seconds from a MagSafe mount. Good Luck. ... show more

The volume is way to low for incoming and outgoing calls on the car play plus it makes it harder with the speaker in the back. It kept getting stuck on the full camera screen and hard to get back to the Apple Car Play

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla. The car doesn't have a gps system . So this product is very useful for me personally. It does allow me to connect my phone via bluetooth. It does have a built-in speaker. The touchscreen responds well and is pretty visible in most conditions. It is very easy to install and very useful for my car. The price is also great and l've even taken this on vacation to use when I suspect a rental car won't have CarPlay . ... show more

Works well when I does work, if you walk away from the unit and it become untethered from your phone it seems to have trouble connecting back. The only major complaint I have is it's suppppperr bright at night even on the lowest brightness setting.

    • Mount sucks, device is fine

The device itself is fine- connects automatically, only has a few errors now and then. But the mount? Just awful. It comes with a mount that suctions to the windshield and it’s terrible. There are three different articulating portions of the mount so that you can adjust it to the proper angle. At least once a week, one of these comes loose enough to make the thing collapse or fly off the windshield entirely. To top it off, while I was driving one of the screws came out and got lost. Now one of those articulating portions is all messed up and I have no idea where the screw is to fix it. And of course it’s past the return window for Amazon so there’s not much I can do about it. Very unfortunate. I wish I had gotten a nicer one so that I didn’t have to deal with all this so often. ... show more
