The shipping company obviously had trouble. They arrived with a lot of duct tape wrapped around the boxes. The weights themselves looked good. I'm no expert. This would be my first set of bumper plates. I'm legally blind so I really wanted the colored plates so I could see immediately what weight these plates were without having to angle them in the light to see the imprint. They do have the white writing on them as well. I purchased a set of 4. (10,15,25,45) I would like to buy the 35 set too but am wary due to previous complaints about single weight set purchases.
