Ordered this for my Kindle Scribe and it costs a fraction of the Amazon branded case. It is not actual leather but PU leather and feels great. The dark blue color goes well with the tungsten black color of the scribe. Another advantage is there is a slot to store the pen within the case compared to an extending loop on the Amazon branded case. I wanted to like this as a cheaper alternative to the Amazon Kindle leather version. However, something about this case interferes with the pen writing on parts of the screen as others have noted. Will return and try another option.

The case interfered pen strokes. When I draw straight lines, they appear faint in the middle of the screen with the case. If I take the kindle out of the case the issue disappeared. See the photos comparing one without the case and the other with the case. The lines in the middle are distorted and faint with the case. ... show more

I wanted to love this case so bad, but it’s too small for the kindle scribe. It was compressing the screen in a way that the device was not detecting the pen. Once I took it out from case, it worked properly.
