I call these disposable underwear because they fit much more like that than others that are truly diapers full of wadding. I used the discreet lavender ones up until about a year and half ago when they became flimsy ugly and twice as expensive. The discreet used to be perfect for IBS and autoimmune issues causing sudden bathroom problems that make it safe to be out and about. I switched to the always boutique this last year because the fit follows my form and stays put comfortably even in my plus size shape. If you double up with the boutique pads on severe days that makes up for the ugly uncomfortable other options out there. The only issue is leg gathering if worn more than 12hrs the padding can pull away the legs right where you need protection most. So be cautious of that and being plus size it’s a common issue I know from other friends but workable. I wish they offered the different colors some brands do but these are the best design wise and that counts highest on my scale. I had my first child 8 years ago and I was completely unprepared, I didn’t have a hospital bag ready or anything other than the stuff for the baby. So, this time around I purchased quite a few Postpartum Recovery items (based on other peoples reviews/recommendations) before having my 2nd baby and let me just say, these are a game changer. The hospital gives you these super thin and stretchy disposable underwear along with huge pads that just don’t seem to stay in place. They're uncomfortable and you just can’t move as freely as you’d like (especially when you’re bleeding a lot). With these, I still used the pads they gave me for extra protection, but they held the pad in place so much better than the disposable underwear and it was much easier to place a pad on these, plus I was able to move around more without worrying that the pad was going to move (but even if it did this provided an extra layer of protection). 10/10 would recommend taking these to the hospital with you! ... show more

Imagine being 1/2 way home in your car with a friend when your IBSD decides to act up. I bought these in case I don't make it to a bathroom but luckily that has never happened. I have had a few situations where water has basically leaked out and when I had a cold and coughed too hard and my kegels failed me if you know what I mean.
