Very lightweight and easy to install, but they keep out the sun

This is a review for the Blackout Cordless Window Shades Cellular Honeycomb Shades Room Darkening Pleated Blinds for Windows in blue. I had looked at them in the winter, to keep out the wind, but was worried that they looked like they were made of paper. When they went on sale, I bought two for my ki
tchen, where I'd had roman blinds before (which had cords and broke), and assumed I'd have to ask someone to help me install them, since I don't have a power drill. But the bracket holes lined up with one hole on each side that had already been drilled for the old shades, so I just put in the screws to hold in the brackets, then popped the shade into the bracket (it will make a snapping sound when it's in place). I just use the white bottom part to pull them down or push them up; I didn't bother putting on the little plastic pull handle. And I love them! They do keep the summer sun out on hot days, and most likely since the side facing the window is white, they aren't absorbing the heat. The fabric is extremely thin and feels like paper. The description says the shades aren't water-resistant, so I'm careful to be sure not to have the window open below the shade, so they won't get wet when it rains. They look great and keep out all of the sun, since I bought them large enough to hang outside the frame of the window. I don't know if they're durable, but hope so, since they look very nice. Strongly recommend.

These blinds fit securely in the “old blind” holders we had still mounted. My husband just sipped them right in so easily band they don’t slide out at all. They glide up and down effortlessly. They don’t feel cheap. I would buy them again

Nice blinds. Easy peasy install These blackout shades block light better than my old metal venetians

Exactly as shown. I have these Allesin shades, (two 46 inch wide, beige-white blackout shades side by side) in a large window and they are just as pictured and so easy to use. nd installed these the day they arrived before I got home and he says they are super easy to install. I was reluctantly to part with my old metal venetian blinds I had in this spot until I found my doggie caught and choking on the cord! I ordered these blinds that day and I am really happy with them after using them over a week. They block the light better than my old venetians. I am amazed at the reasonable price on these too . And NO CORD to worry about. They are exactly as shown. It seems getting new blinds isn’t such a complicated or expensive thing anymore. Nice.

I rec'd my shades and 1 bracket was missing out of the box. I contacted the seller direct and they sent a box of hardware within 1 week. The shades are easy to install and operate, but had difficulty trying to remove the shade is there a trick to removing?

Very pleased- Nice shades
Well made and easy to install. Will likely buy more, but these are nicer than the other shades I already have - noticeably nicer so much they wouldn't match the others. Put two of the room darkening ones in a sunny room and they look great and lowered temperatures in the room.

They come with wood screws and anchors. If your window frame is metal, you will need a cobalt or titanium drill bit and metal screws. Other than that, fantastic!

First one broke after a few, but really like the shade itself

Easy to install, affordable, looks nice. Our first one broke after a few months (out of return window). The string inside snapped. However we did order another because we just loved it so much. Works perfect for our bathroom window.

Does just what it is suppose to

It would have been nice if the header was the samecolor as the shade instead of being white with a dark blue shade

Been sleeping better since I installed these

I have a vision problem that makes me sensitive to light when it comes to sleeping, i like the room to be as dark as possible at night, and my house has these very bright street lights in front of it. These blinds get rid of 100% of the light, except for the edges around them. I added some decorative
trim to block out even more light around the edges. If I got some blackout curtains I could block out even more light around the edges too, but I don't think i'll need to, this seems to black out plenty already. If you look at my pictures with the blinds down, it looks brighter than it really looks in real life, the camera pumps up the brightness, but in real life it doesn't look that bright. As an added bonus, these have been helping trap in heat, and keeping the house even more insulated. At $66.96 each, I wouldn't call these cheap at all, but you get what you pay for with these, they are good quality. I also like that they're double side with different colors on each side, so I can mix up the look of the room if I want to.
