While visiting my In-Laws for Christmas, I tried to adjust the angle of the shower head and broke it. I wanted to purchase a new shower head with all-metal fittings to avoid that calamity in the future, and I landed on the Hibbent 12 inch Rain Fall style All Metal shower head and I was pleasantly surprised! My first shower with this head was the best shower I've had in years - maybe even decades! The pressure coming out of the main head is pretty low, but it's so big that the total volume really makes up for it. Meanwhile, the mounted hand-held head gives incredible pressure (on some settings, it was actually too high for sensitive areas of my body) and the mounting hardware enables you to use it as if it's your primary shower head whenever you want high water-pressure. So you get the best of both worlds. I started off with the main head, switched over for high pressure, then finished it off with the most luxurious-feeling of warm rain falling on top of my head. I didn't even want to get out of the shower! I was a little jealous that I didn't have this shower head at home until I realized that - since I bought it on Amazon - it could get home before I do! So I've already ordered one for myself. It's that amazing. Cons: - The 12-inch version is a little heavy for the main arm extending from the wall. The tilting/locking mechanism seems like it's hanging on for dear life. But so far, so good and I'll update if it doesn't hold up over the long haul. - The titling feature is a little lacking on both the overhead piece and the hand-held mounting hardware. In particular, it could stand to be a little stronger/tighter up top and a little looser/less rigid for the hand-held mount. So each individual part is not necessarily perfect, but the shower that I got from it was perfect, hence the 5/5 stars. ... show more

Okay, so this review is from the standpoint of installation and look only. I will update my review once I've used it a couple times. As far as the installation goes it was easy, but there are a few 'misses' that I'll call out. The instructions indicate 'Not' to use a washer when connecting the proper piece to the shower arm. However, when you follow that you will potentially have a leak like I did. I found another comment that said the same and he said, 'use the washer!' So, to avoid uninstalling some of your work, like I had to, use the washer! The other thing I will callout is the hose i received is slightly different from what's referenced and what I'd had before. Both ends of the flexible hose have an attachment that is pictured as the end going to the handheld. The only difference is inside the hose one end has a smaller opening for water flow than the other end. The instructions are misleading due to my hose having one different end connection, and then I wasn't (still am not) certain which end was meant to go where, so I just guessed. I bought this based on a good number of reviews here, and wow! Installation instructions clear (and I got nicked when I didn't follow them, see below); setting it up took less than 15 minutes, removal of the old shower head included. Here's what I would add: - the arm & square portion are full metal, so mind the weight. There will be all this weight hanging *at an angle* on the pipe coming out of the wall. at my first go I had a leak at that junction because I had wrapped just the amount of teflon tape I typically do for these joins. I took the whole structure down, doubled up on teflon, and problem solved - a few days after the purchase Amazon forwarded me what looked like a proactive email from the manufacturer. based on that wording, I speculate a good number of complaints they're getting are on low water pressure for the 12in model. the email was kind of begging me to order the smaller size if I have this problem. I thought this was nice in some way, though it was not a problem for us - weirdly I can't provide any testimony for the hose extension wand. 2 weeks later I doubt it has been used beyond the initial install and testing, as everybody in this house loves the 12in rain shower so why would one try anything else (wink) Sounds cheesy but is true, we're going to replace heads in another bathroom with this same model.
