I purchased the winter weight for my grandson and he absolutely loves it. The weight was perfect because they keep it cool in the house at night yet it didn’t feel heavy. I ordered a king size for his queen bed since the reviews suggested ordering a size larger for a decent side drop. It was perfect. When I received the downy I put it in the dryer to help fluff it up and had it laying out in case there was a foul order, which I didn’t detect at all, so it would be ready for him to use right away. The outer material is poly cotton, which has a bit of a sheen to it, but what he wanted. The color wasn’t as dark gray as shown, more like the photo of the man wrapped in the downy, but still looked nice. I saw my grandson the next day and the first thing he said to me was how wonderful the downy was! His only concern is getting out of bed for school in the morning because it’s so snuggly! I have scoured Amazon for the perfect fluffy duvet and I’m so happy with this one. I was between buying one from DOWNCOOL, DWR Premium, and this one. This was the cheaper option and seemed very similar to the other 2. Like other reviewers I was worried after taking it out with how thin it was. Even after putting it in the dryer it seemed like the middle squares were not as filled as the outer ones. However, once I put it in my duvet cover the entire comforter looked plush and fluffed. The outside material is durable. I’ve only found 1 loose feather so far but haven’t taken it out of the cover yet. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s so fluffy to cuddle up in. Only negative is I was hoping it would be more breathable/cooling, this is the all season and it does get warm during 70 degree nights. There is a little crinkle noise but its not loud and doesn’t bother me at all, just sounds like a fluffy down duvet! Very satisfied with this one. ... show more

My partner hates duvet covers, and I don't blame him because they are a pain to deal with, and it's hard to find lightweight ones that don't flatten and weigh down the blanket. I hate the look of a white down comforter by itself-- it's like the bed is in its underwear. But we both love the warmth and lightness of down. This gray-colored comforter is a good compromise because it matches our light bed quilt, so we just lay the quilt over it and the bed is made, even if a corner or edge peeks out. The fabric feels like great quality, so I trust it will wash well even though I haven't had to yet-- the top sheet serves as a barrier between our bodies and the comforter the same as a duvet cover would. My only complaint is that it's a relatively heavy comforter for our mild southern winters. I mean you actually feel the weight of it on top of you, unlike the light down I've used in the past, and it's less breathable than its counterparts. First off I love this duvet. It’s got some weight to it but compared to others I’ve tried it’s definitely light weight. It fluffed up like it was supposed to after taking it out of the box & it is odorless. The only complaint I really have is the material. It reminds me of those plastic like fabric you see on windbreaker jackets. So it’s not super soft & it definitely makes a crinkle sound when you move it so it’s not totally noiseless like advertised, even after putting it into my duvet cover. BUT it’s a soft crinkle sound & it’s still super comfortable especially with the cover, i just probably wouldn’t use it by itself. But all in all I’m happy with this purchase. UPDATE: Now that I’ve had this duvet comforter for a few weeks or so , I still love it! It still has that sleeping bag crinkle sound to it but it’s not obnoxious & a duvet cover does soften the sound. Now, previously I mentioned it wasn’t super soft. I take that back. Now that I’ve slept with it for a while the duvet has been broken in & is definitely more soft now than it was when I first got it. It has maintained it’s fluff this far & I’ve been using it without a duvet cover (waiting for my new one to arrive) & I’m getting the best sleep I’ve had in a while. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more
