This is my 4th AirCat tool and I plan to buy a few more and all of them have worked fantastic!! I work on vehicles on the side regularly out of my garage and all of these have performed flawlessly. I keep 110-120psi going to them at all time and oil them regularly besides having the inline oiler to make sure that they stay well oiled with the higher operating pressure. This tool works amazing for separating parts that are frozen on with corrosion or stuck together with a tight fit like ball joints, tie rod ends, steering joints, rotors, cv axles, and so on unless they need a really hard blow then it's mallet time. Other mechanic friends of mine have switched over to Air cat tools as well after using the ones I have. So I'd say that's testimony in it's self of the quality. ... show more

I has doubts about this tool being able to do what I needed it to. It worked good. I used it to cut factory rivers from a automotive frame. I thought I’ll try it out and if it doesn’t work I’ll send it back. I’m keeping it.

    • My 2nd one and Air Cat should have never made this product
First one i bought from Amazon and it literally worked for 10 seconds before the hammers internally jammed and NOTHING! Sent back for a immediate full refund! Thank you Amazon! Bought again from Snap On thinking maybe I just got a bad one...I was wrong. It has lasted a long time but has very erratic hammer beats, jams all the time, is not as quiet as they claim and is completely destroyed by another techs Ingersol Rand air hammer. You get what you pay for...I started a big fan of AirCat but now have returned air hammer, die grinder, and 2 impacts...:( ... show more

This is fine for occasional use and smaller jobs. Doesnt have to punch was hoping for. Kind of weak. Also the trigger is very awkward and hard to press. Have to use 2 fingers or more. See how ling it lasts. I have see limits already.

This is powerful and at a great price. I love my Aircat 1150 impact a ton. This is good just not something i can't live without. the front part of the gun is plastic and it comes off sometimes which is super annoying and less than the quality i expect in a professional tool. However it does work really well inspite of that annoying piece moving around sometimes. I'd buy it but i just wish i had a metal body air hammer for shop conditions, but you have to pay about twice the price for a decent quality air hammer. ... show more
