  • Hoes mad. Good deal.
Color: Multi
This is a nice kit and a great deal. I upgraded from the older brushed models to this. A lot of the other reviews complain about the selector switches and battery fitment but I'm not. Since I was upgrading from older but still working tools I could compare them side by side and the switches don't seem any more loose my older DCD780. The batteries do have some play in the fitment to the tool but this also send comparable to older models. Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and feel that a lot of these other reviewers just wanted Milwaukee quality at DeWalt Pricing lol. At the time of purchase this hammer-drill/impact driver kit with 2 batteries and fast charger was $260. ... show more

  • Plenty of power
Color: Multi
I'm not sure why they call this a 60v unit since it works with all batteries. Still, it was great to get a Flexvolt battery for use with my other 60v tools. I have an aversion for heavy tools, so I don't like lugging this one around especially with the big battery. Normally I use a lighter more compact drill for everyday drilling especially since heavy drills tend to break small drill bits in my clumsy hands. The hammer drill setting is slightly less Micky Mouse than most I've used but still quite useless in general for any hammer drilling over 3/16" in diameter through concrete. The hammer setting did prove helpful with a small diamond coring bit going though 3/4" porcelain tiles. Works great for mixing and hole sawing. I'll be thrilled if these batteries last a year, but I have no expectations since I've haven't owned a cordless drill or driver with that lifespan. Cordless tools at a full-scale professional level have proven to be more disposable than durable. ... show more

  • Unbelievable!
Color: Multi
I did many youtube comparisons before I bought this set. There are many to choose from. I wanted power, reliability, price, and good batteries. It was between the Makita and this one but I bought this one because I already have a bunch of Dewalt equiptment. The main one is a Dewalt grease gun that we just love. Seeing as these would use the same charger and batteries as the grease gun I bought this for our shop. I use the smaller impact screw gun all the time! I even broke a bit using it to remove tire lug nuts. It was a bad idea, don't use one of these on stuck lug nuts. Break them free then use the impact gun. Be very careful when buying one of these because each company has many kits that contain lighter duty guns. Check the model number very carefully. The price is higher on this kit because these are real tools made for professionals. The smaller impact screw gun would not be great for dry-wall screws. Just too strong to set them in lightly. ... show more

  • DeWALT for Life
Color: Multi
I am not going to write a book on 2 drills as a lot of reviewers do. I upgraded from a hammer drill/impact drill combo that I bought 7 years ago and are still running strong. The reason I bought this combo is because of the features they have. The impact drill's 3 speed/tq selection make this drill my go to for any project because you can feather in delicate screws with out over tq'ing. and It's so light. The hammer drill is amazing! I have used to bore holes into concrete, mix concrete with an mixer, and to auger through wood. These tools will probably be around for the next decade and a half. ... show more

  • Versatile, Powerful
Color: Multi
I can't get enough of these two tools. It seems I'm using one or the other all of the time. The impact driver has proven powerful and useful for so many things I really don't know why I waited so long to get one. The drill has multiple setting and works perfectly for a variety of things as well. In many cases they're interchangeable. The travel case is a real plus and the battery charger is fast and efficient. Battery has been amazing both with the standard 20 volt and the 60 volt included in the package. ... show more

  • Great Kit, One Drawback
Color: Multi
This is a great set and concept. For years I have been using the Dewalt 36 volt set which includes a 7 1/4" worm drive type (blade on the left) circular saw, reciprocating saw, and 1/2" hammer drill. These have been great in my quest to be completely cordless. A lot of my other cordless tools have been the Ryobi-ONE plus line since they have always been innovators with things like backwards compatible lithium ion batteries, cordless chop saws, cordless routers etc. This new Dewalt flexvolt line is backwards compatible with their 20 volt line and includes a battery that can produce up to 60 volts (120 volts if doubled) depending on the tool's need On top of that, the new tools are brushless for longer tool life and less battery usage. Added to this are innovations such as the first (to my knowledge) cordless table saw and a cordless 12" sliding compound miter saw. There is also an adapter with a cord for the times you don't have a charged battery or you need to really push the tool. With this set the only complaint I have so far is the cordless chuck on the hammer drill. Because the grip is metal with small hatching, when you need to tighten down a bit the chuck slips through your grip easily creating a sandpaper like burning sensation to your hand if you are not careful. It would have been nice if the ridges on the chuck grip were larger or rubberized to make it easier. Tool performance other than that has been great with long run times and great performance even drilling 3/4" holes in old concrete. I just purchased the 60 volt circular saw (blade on the right) and am looking forward to using that. ... show more

  • Great replacement for my 20 year old 18V!
Color: Multi
I mainly use these for around the house fix up tasks, along with light weekend based projects in the shop/garage. Additionally, they are very handy when I get called to my rental properties to perform light maintenance. The built-in flashlight on the units is great. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like the soft-side case (coming from the old hard case) but it has worked very well and is more sturdy than anticipated. Balance and weight, particularly with the drill are still a bit tricky. Two hand operation is often the case. Overall, I'm very pleased! ... show more
