I bought this plus another smaller air purifier to deal with smoking in what is a roughly 1200sf open space with 12 foot ceilings. Not sure how either works separately, but together they work really well. When I initially turned this one on, it was pre-set on the lowest setting. And I could hear it go to a higher setting whenever I lit up and go back to the lesser setting when I stopped. I wasn't a fan of hearing the change, so I put it on a constant higher setting.     • GREAT product so far, just one "Design" flaw
With recent health concerns with air quality, did some research and decided to purchase some HEPA air purifiers. After receiving 2 of them (for each story of the house) and loving the change in air quality (we have 3 dogs and 2 cats), decided to get this one for our bedroom to be "extra" :-). Ordered it at 10pm and it was delivered at 5:02am this morning. As far as quality/power its great, could tell an immediate change in temp of the master bedroom and it was quiet, even at its highest speed. For the life of me however, their engineers need a lesson. The powercord comes out on the "wrong" side, ie the "HEPA" air side, whereas the other two I own have it on the correct side. Aside from this design, its a good product. ... show more

    • Noise? Take off plastic
I read the reviews before purchasing and read a lot about noise. I even listen on the videos.When I saw it went on sale I purchased anyways. Like the reviews it was so loud. So after a couple of days I was curious if the filter looked any different. Well, the filter itself is wrapped in plastic. Once I removed the plastic from the filter the noise was eliminated immediately. It does change settings on its own, but I bought for my office at work, so it does not bother me. I work in a skilled nursing facility with mostly demitia residents. It can get loud around 3 or 4 due to sundowners. So that's why I was unconcerned about the noise. I am happy I did not pay anywhere near the original price. If I had paid full price I would've been very disappointed in my purchase due to the fact that it will switch modes on its own. If I pay $150 for something I expect it to work. I was pleasantly surprised when I found the plastic that the filter was wrapped in was the source of the noise, but I purchased knowing what the reviews said. If you have an issue with the noise, make sure you have removed the plastic. That's really the only reason I wrote the review. Edit: I change my 3 star to 5 stars. This is an awesome little air purifier. So quite when on the lowest setting. The only time I've noticed it only changing settings when on auto, which makes sense. It's changing its settings depending on the air quality around it. I love it and would buy again at the discounted price I bought the first one. ... show more

This air filter is working great so far, we have 2 doggies and live in Az. with a wash behind us and can get some dust if the door is open. Our other purifier was small but did its job. But I wanted a larger one as our home is more SF than the little one could handle. I'm taking the other one to our Cabin as its smaller SF. I like that this unit can go from lite to high pressure and you can have it go on a cycle that lets it go when it senses that it needs go higher. Nice features. ... show more
