They helped reduce cravings and made nicotine less rewarding. These help at the beginning but once you’ve done the course its up to you to stay away from nicotine. I have been waiting to post about it until I felt like I was sure that I was through the toughest days and that I was for sure done. I have finally made it to that point. Three, almost four weeks ago I started on a medicine called Desmoxan which is a smoking cessation medication. It was shipped to me from Poland, complete with 100 pills and Polish instructions. I started taking it immediately, which started as one pill every two hours for the first three days and then you start tapering down. I smoked my last cigarette five days after starting the medicine and haven’t smoked another cigarette for two weeks. I have a pack of cigarettes with one cigarette missing from it and I haven’t touched them. I can’t really explain how it works but it definitely works. You just feel like you don’t really need to smoke. Let me make this very clear though, it will not work if you don’t want to quit. I still had hard times, and it isn’t 100% easy even now but it is much better. I had to find something to do with my hands and the fidget thing I posted really helped, it has a good weight and size so I could use it without really thinking about it. I also have used these noise reducing earbuds when I start to feel anxious. They don’t block out a ton of noise but they seem to take things down a level. I also lotion my hands a lot, it has seemed to help me. The medicine has a listed side effect of nightmares. I didn’t have nightmares but I could remember my dreams when I woke up which I normally don’t and I also had a little bit of an upset stomach at night. I didn’t have any side effects that weren’t worth it though. The best mental game I played with myself that seemed to help was to tell myself I could smoke later. I started this on the second day and did it until the fourth day. If I was wanting a cigarette I would tell myself I could have it in an hour or two hours, then when that time ended I would tell myself that I could make it another hour. This is long but if you want to quit smoking it’s probably worth the time to read. I have tried to quit many times with many different things and nothing has ever worked. First off shipping and delivery were flawless! Next this is my 2nd attempt, product stated to stop taking and try again months later if I went back to smoking while taking and advice was perfect. I had taken Chantix 3 times before it was pulled and wellbutrin once. I was smoke free 3 years, started new job and smoking shortly after. When I first attempted desmoxan I tried out of guilt for throwing away 3 years, but sadly my current circumstances of the dangers of the new job out weighed that guilt. I'm a year in and decide now was the time. I started with my first pack and bought this to finish out the treatment. By day 3 I was disinterested in smoking. I was completely done before day 5. The toughest part is keeping track of when to take it, so set an alarm if you have to. Every other side affect is mild compared to the previously drugs I have used. The dreams are there but not crazy, more realistic. The taste of cigarettes for me a Newport Menthol smoker is completely gone, its was like smoking air. My mood and personality are the same as before. No zombie feeling or severe aggression. This treatment is 25 days compared to 12 weeks and that alone makes it a great value for my money. I was a heavy, heavy, smoker! I've been nicotine free for 5 months. I was sooo tired of smoking, and I never thought I'd be able to quit. I allowed these tablets to work, because I really wanted them to work. They worked. I started taking them, allowing myself to continue to smoke. I just stopped wanting to smoke, motivated by my desire to quit. These worked for me. I really wanted them to work. I’ve been nicotine free for 2 months now, I quit once before many years ago cold Turkey which was a nightmare, I think in comparison they definitely helped me a lot. BUT as a warning and why I think many claimed it didn’t work. It will not make you hate or dislike vaping that I know of at least. By day 3 I realized I still vaper the same amount and enjoyed it, I forced myself to only have 10 hits (had an emotional break down that night), then 3 on the fifth day (was totally fine), then none on the 5th day as directed. You won’t hate nicotine or be sick of it, this doesn’t magically make you not like it, it just greatly surpresses and minimizes the withdraws effects that you would get cold Turkey. And I felt out of sight out of mind mostly. Honestly I didn’t take it completely correctly by the last week and had a row of do’s worth of pills left. Living in the US I’m so thankful that I was able to get these. It’s not easy but far better. If you can power through a couple bad night the first week or so, then you’ll be just fine if you want to quit. Again it makes it easier, but if you don’t try to quit you can easily keep using while taking this, that’s why some said “it doesn’t work” it won’t do the work for you. You have to give it up yourself, then it kicks in to do its part on keeping withdrawals down and cravings away. Hope this helps, hope to get my partner to try it soon. OH! One warning, I had vivid dreams every night I took this. Thankfully only a couple nights were terrible nightmares, most were neutral just long like a movie and you wake up remembering everything.
