Description

Our World-famous Wideband O2 air/fuel ratio UEGO gauge features a digital LED display and sweeping LED 'needle' that changes colors as AFR changes from rich to lean. A 52mm (2-1/16") gauge housing ensures that it will fit in most gauge pods and can be remotely mounted virtually anywhere. All AEM digital gauges feature a 0-5V analog output for use with data loggers and almost any engine management system. Each gauge comes with black and silver bezels and black and white faceplates for multiple color combinations and a custom look (a black Lambda faceplate and black and white Air/Fuel Ratio faceplates). The Bosch UEGO sensor gives the controller its speed and accuracy. The Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor used in the AEM Wideband UEGO AFR Controller Gauge has a faster light off time and draws less current than the 4.2 LSU sensor used with AEM's 30-4100 Wideband UEGO Controller Gauge, which will be superseded to the gauge in August, 2014. The 4.9 LSU sensor features the same fuel compatibility as the 4.2 LSU and NEVER requires free-air calibration when used with AEM's Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge. The 4.9 LSU sensor uses a different connector than the connector used with the 4.2 LSU sensors included with the original 30-4100 gauge controller. The sensors are not interchangeable between the two gauge controllers in any way, including changing connectors on the gauges. The Wideband O2 air/fuel ratio UEGO gauge is a must if you want to maximize your engine's power and safety. When tuning an engine, accurate air/fuel ratio data is critical because running with too rich of an AFR can cause a loss of power, and running a lean AFR can result in serious engine damage. AEM's digital Wideband AFR UEGO gauge can quickly alert you to even a .1 change in air/fuel ratio and provide enough time to shut down an engine before damage occurs. There are two harnesses that connect to the back of the AEM UEGO gauge. The longer harness connects to the UEGO sensor. The shorter harness contains four leads.

  • Sensor was Dead on arrival
Style: Custom
So I got it installed, it ran but it kept going full lean when I knew my tune was super rich, then eventually I sent the gauge in and finished up some other things with the car, re wired my power and ground still kept slowly creeping to full lean so that’s when I sent the gauge in to AEM themselves, they were very quick with responding and they over night shipped the gauge back. The gauge has a year warranty through the AEM so they replaced it, then I start the car again after I reinstalled the gauge and this time it’s reading full lean and nothing else, and since I had the exhaust all apart I checked for a leak and I had one, so got that all buttoned up and the same thing was happening, tested the sensor again and it was dead, so I went to oreillys and got a Bosch 17212 wideband and it’s working flawlessly now. Throw the stock sensor away and just get a replacement, it will save you sooo much time. Other than that I’m super excited to get back to tuning my car. 5/5 stars except for the bad sensor ... show more

  • Good gauge that works as advertised
Style: Custom
Gauge is straight forward and is as advertised. The only thing that would make this better is if it came with a fuse adapter to wire the switched power vs having to hunt for a wire in your wire harnes. But since this is not exactly used for stock vehicle most people should not have a problem. Gauge works well, I have yet to hook up to my data loggers for my tuner to data log the analog output. It would be nice if it provided two outputs so you could tie in the synthesized narrowband output into the ECU. This would bypass the need to keep the factory narrowband. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the height of the bug they provide. The bung is measured in at 1/2" tall. This puts the sensor head not far enough into the exhaust stream. I had another vendors 02 bung that was already half the height that the AEM bung was. Better documentation as to current draw of the gauge, the sensor, and the warm up current draw would be helpful to correctly size the fuse. ... show more

  • Bad gauge and sensor
Style: Custom
The media could not be loaded. Bought for my car about a year or year and half ago, it was working quite good then the digital gauge itself started to have dead pixels for the numbers and then 3 months after that the sensor died. The gauge is not an issue for me since i can still read it but now I have to get a replacement sensor. ... show more

  • Quality
Style: Custom
Very accurate reads exactly the same as the Dyno when I had the car tuned I’ve had it on the car for 5000miles in my down pipe right after the turbo and it’s still running strong I think the people complaining about failing sensors didn’t read the directions. I have had no issues at all. Already bought a second one for my other car! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Hit or miss
Style: Custom
Shade tree tuner here. I’ve bought this 3 times and have had two of my friends buy this since the first one worked perfect for me and has been working flawlessly for two years even on E85. Two of my friends (they bought this so I could tune their fueling accurately) had a sensor either dead out of the box, or it lasted a week. One friend has moved the whole kit between three different trucks with no issues. I have one on my turbo Silverado, and bought one for a friend, and now purchased a third one to use as a mobile exhaust sniffer for quick road tunes. This one got installed in the clamp on the exhaust tip, was reading perfectly, then randomly started going from 14.7 straight to three lines after only seeming idle for roughly 10 minutes. When it does that, just go ahead and assume the sensor died. I even thought it was lack of exhaust flow so i put it in one of the factory o2 bungs. Still went from 14.7 to three lines. It’s a fantastic wideband when it works, but aem will not send you a new replacement sensor and if you want a new one through amazon you have to send the whole kit back and get a new one. The replacement sensor is $40, and when it gets here I’m gonna give it one last chance. If it’s dead out of the box I’m finding another kit. ... show more

  • Great wideband, great gauge, easy install
Style: Custom
Entirely outstanding in terms of price and performance. This much value for 150 dollars is amazing compared to what you got for your money 15-20 years ago. Back then you paid more and didn't even get a gauge let alone a good one with an easy install. The gauge is easy to read, responds quickly and looks pretty. It doesn't flicker or anything so I don't know why people complain about distracting flashing lights. The brightness seems just right for every situation so far and you don't notice it unless you glance over to the windshield pillar- maybe it's annoying with gauge cluster mounting or with internal LED lighting or something. Dunno. Everyone's car is different. But I had no problems in my NA miata, even in bright sunlight with the top down. Installation was straightforward and easy except for the firewall routing. If you have an easy passage through your firewall and 12v/GRND/signal wires already set aside, this is under a 5 minute install. I had the thing up and running in about 2 minutes... then 2 hours later I had it installed in my dashboard. The extra two hours was entirely devoted to firewall/dashboard cable routing. Getting the rectangular cable connectors fed through the firewall was annoying but that's the worst of it. With practice I could probably get it down to 15-20 minutes. The gauge feels a bit fliimsy compared to autometer (which feel like they're made from metal or something), but you won't ever touch it once installed, so this is a minor quibble. ... show more
