Frequently asked questions

Installing the 0011 Digital Gauge involves connecting the speedometer, tachometer, and odometer wires to your motorcycle's corresponding electrical circuits. It's crucial to refer to both your motorcycle's and the gauge's wiring diagrams. First, securely mount the gauge on your dashboard or handlebar. Then, connect the power and ground wires, followed by the speed sensor and other indicator light wires. For accurate functionality, calibration according to the manufacturer's instructions might be necessary. If unsure, consult a professional mechanic.

The 0011 Digital Gauge is designed with universality in mind, making it suitable for a wide range of motorcycles. However, compatibility with every single motorcycle model cannot be guaranteed. It's important to check the voltage requirements and the connector types against your motorcycle's specifications. For motorcycles with highly specialized or digital-only systems, additional adapters or modifications may be required.

Yes, the 0011 Digital Gauge allows riders to switch between MPH (Miles Per Hour) and KM/H (Kilometers Per Hour) for speed measurement. Typically, this can be done through a menu accessed directly on the gauge's display or by pressing specific buttons according to the instructions provided with the gauge. This feature ensures that the gauge can be used in different countries and adhere to regional speed unit preferences.

The multi-function indicator light display on the 0011 Digital Gauge is designed to provide riders with essential information about the motorcycle's status. It typically includes indicators for turn signals, high beam, neutral gear, and engine warning. Some models may also feature oil pressure and battery status indicators. By offering these alerts in a single, integrated display, the gauge enhances riding safety and convenience.

  • May take a little finesse to set up but works great after
Mine came with directions that were decent I guess. The set up can be a little daunting at first but it's easy enough once you get the hang of it. A couple tips to save you some aggrivation....the speedo pickup magnets work best in a tight circle rather than spread out in a wider diameter on the brake rotor. Also, while calibrating the first perameter wants you to enter tire circumference in cm and that'll get you pretty close. I then rode with a gps speedo app on my phone to compare and was able to fine tune it by raising or lowering that tire circumference a little at a time then checking again. The tach would not work when I put it on my coil as instructed and I suspect it's because of the cdi ignition, because when I put it on the positive lead straight off the magneto it worked fine, though not accurate as it's a 2 stroke and these are only good for 4 strokes as far as the tachometer goes. Otherwise, wiring directions are on point and keep in mind, for neutral and gear indicator wires, they're looking for a negative signal not positive so if your neutral switch sends a positive signal it may need to be rewired to work properly. Everything worked great though, high beam indicator, turn signal indicators, and marker light indicator all work great, even if the speedo itself isn't powered up so it saves a little power if I only want my indicators.(I didn't wire mine to the ignition to turn on immediately, I used a toggle instead as my set up doesn't have a battery originally. All my lights were added by me and run off a 12v LiFepo4 battery so my electrical set up is a little different. It also keeps it's settings and odometer memory when the battery is disconnected which is awesome since I pull my battery to recharge when needed on a bench. I actually started with 4 stars and as I wrote this review I couldn't really think of a reason not to give it 5. I feel the speedometer pickup sensor was a little touchy at first, but once I tightened up my magnets pattern and got the sensor as close to them without touching as I could, it works perfectly fine, just takes a little trial and error to dial the calibration in perfectly. There's a couple YouTube videos on installing these, but if you know a little about wiring it's fairly easy to figure out. And the included mounting bracket was very much appreciated. All in all it was a great deal for a decent all around universal gauge with all necessary indicators, even a fuel gauge. Which will blink if not used and if you're like me this may be a minor annoyance. Run a hot to the fuel gauge wire (only if you don't have a sending unit and don't intend to use that feature anyways),but be sure it's straight from the battery with a 5a fuseable link or inline fuse holder with 5a fuse and not sharing a circuit just incase you wouldn't want this thing to blow your fuse on your taillight circuit at night, I haven't blown a fuse, just not taking the chance it might. You're welcome because if it does what mine did it should just read full all the time now and no more blinky blinky. I would recommend to anyone looking to have a functioning gauge and set of indicators for a reasonable price. It's not fancy, but it works and doesn't cost a million bucks. UPDATE 10\29\21 I love this thing. It took a little patience and trial and error while comparing against a GPS speedo app on my phone, but I was able to get it calibrated perfectly. It didn't take long once I took the time to do it right. I entered the circumference of my tire in mm's and that got me in the ballpark, then I just would ride, see how far off and which way and change my number slightly up or down accordingly. Got it dialed in perfect within a few tries and all is tight with the universe. I like that it holds it's settings even when there's no power because I don't have a charging system, so for one, I have to pull the battery and bring it in to charge once in a while. But also, I have a main battery switch to completely cut power to everything in case I forget to turn something off and have no lights for my trip home. The speedometer always remembers my settings and had remained accurate for months, I still pull up the gps speedo app from time to time to make sure, and it's still spot on from 1 right on up to around 50 or so where I let off because huffy beach cruisers weren't built to go that fast... I'm planning another build soon, and already have this guy on my list of materials. There's a very slim chance of me not buying another, and maybe even a 3rd for my girls bike too. Speedometers all around!!! ... show more

  • Great Speed & Tachometer
About 2000 miles and still don't have any major complaints. It did take some work to get it figured out initially. I wish there was a way to disable the fuel guage since my bike doesn't have one it just flashes empty. Not a big deal, I don't notice it really.

  • Junk
Junk do not buy. Wiring diagram not correct and speed sensor did not work right out of box. Also seller will not do anything for you but keep asking you questions about how it was installed and then tell you to deal with Amazon exchange. Spend more and save yourself the trouble.

  • Good quality, but a pain to install!
This unit seems to do everything it is supposed to do. The instructions are better than most that come with these types Chinese parts. They are actually helpful. A plus is that there are a couple of YouTube videos about this unit that are helpful. The electric connectors for hook up I'm sure are fine, IF you have a Chinese clone bike that you're installing this on, if not you're going spend some time replacing the connections or using "bullet" connectors. I fully expected it to be a minor ordeal to install, but since everything works as it should it is work the money and time invested. ... show more

  • Takes a little finesse
I gave it 5 stars because i got everything to fit up and work correctly. when entering the modes to get to your settings do not forget that if you change your tach from 1 cyl to 2,3, or 4 it will never go back to 1. Also when it says to hold for xx amount of seconds its not all that accurate, try a few different ways itll work. when i entered my tire size the spedo was way off but after a few times dialing it down its with 1 mph of my gps. it said to use 2 magnets for the spedo but that made everything all wonky and i found out i could swith the settings to use only 1 magnet. i did that and it works perfect. I was worried about the magnet flying off the rotor so i put a small dab of epoxy on it, no problems. turn signal and high beam indicators work great. have not used the gear indicator or fuel guage. 5 stars ... show more

  • Ok but not as effective
Seemed easy at first but will not read tach signal from a compute controlled motorcycle and the fuel gauge reads backwards. Couldn't find a spot to mount the speedo sensor and it would not read the speed on a Honda st1300 For less technological bikes it will work great. I returned it for a gps speedo ... show more

  • Easy to install and program
I installed the speedometer on my custom 82 Honda 650 bobber. I had no trouble with the instructions. I used only some of the wiring as I do not have turn signals, fuel gauge, etc. I cut the plugs of the speedometer wiring and soldered and shrink tubed to my existing wiring. Programming was simple, after I guessed the “perimeter” setting is your front tire circumference in millimeters (tire diameter x 3.14 x 25.4). There’s a small reed switch you mount near your front brake disc. The kit includes two very strong small magnets that stick to your disc and are sensed by the reed switch. I used both magnets and programmed the speedometer to know each tire rotation would send two pulses to the speedometer. Total install and program time about 90 minutes. Nice having a modern speedometer on an old bike. ... show more
