  • Don’t trust Amazon
The Flashpac worked great on my Jeep JK. The problem was with the seller. They claimed it was a new Flashpaq and when I got it it was VIN locked. Luckily the guys at Superchips/ Holley hooked me up at no additional cost. My Jeep runs great and the Flaskpaq is easy to use and straightforward. I would definitely buy again just not on Amazon. ... show more

  • Easy Peasy
This thing is so simple to use, I change the tuning settings regularly for my different driving purposes. Performance, towing, and crawling are examples of different engine tunes available. Speedometer is dead on now after programming in the actual tire size. Glad I bought it.

  • My 3rd superchips programmer.
Purchased this one for my 04 jeep grand Cherokee overland wj(4.7ho). I have run superchips on my 08jku and my previous 02wj. I loaded their 87 tune shortly after I upgraded my fuel injectors to 12hole densos and replaced pump and filter and plugs a few weeks prior. Obviously, one could argue that any running conditions or smoothness or even milage, could be because of those other upgrades and overdue maintenance. However, what I definitely noticed with this jeep after installing the tune was shift points. Typically my wj has really run my 1-2 shift pretty high, maybe ~4,000rpm, especially noticable when cold. This went away right after the 87 tune install. Very clean and smooth shifting which has resulted in a very pleasant ride and power band. The other day I took my jeep on a trip to Virginia where it will have it's new suspension system installed which was about 4hrs away. The back of my jeep was loaded down with about 3-500lbs worth of extra parts... It averaged 19.5mpg doing 70-80 the entire way there through mountains and hills of eastern tn into Virginia. If it was flat, Illinois or Indiana, I probably would have gotten 20-22 easy. I obviously have been a customer for over 10 years now and I don't see any better solutions for what we running jeeps are asking for. ... show more

  • 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7
Just bought an 02 jeep grand Cherokee with 4.7HO motor. I was surprised at the stock mpg, a short, flat highway run at 65mph netted a solid 24mpg. Many have reported much lower. In town things go south to around 16 to 17 mpg or worse for some. The power is kinda diesel like, strong on the bottom then anemic around 3000rpm. Not terrible but a little rough around the edges. I just happened to have a superchips f5 laying around and tonight decided to install. First I tried the mileage xs tune. At first I really liked it, smoothed out the bottom end and pulled better until about that 3000rpm mark, then got anemic. The instant mpg showed quicker af changes in the ecu. The mpg would go up quicker than stock and had no problem going up to 50 plus mpg when rolling up to a stop light or turn. Stock in comparison was very sluggish and might hit 25 under the same circumstances. Next I installed the 87 octane tune. The bottom end felt the same as the xs tune which was good and pulled noticeably better after 3000rpm. The instant mpg read out similar to the xs tune which was what I hoped for. Not enough time to verify any mpg increase, will update later. The power is smoother and stronger than the stock tune which is definitely a plus. 21 Apr 24 update: A few updates from superchips really ruined the mileage xs tune. Someone took timing out and kept the torque converter from locking up. Mpg dived to 15mpg. Someone doesn't know what they are doing. I went back to the stock tune with added timing to get back into mid 16s mpg. I thought I would try the tow tune and, wow, glad I did. My jeep now drives much better. The torque converter locks up early and stays locked up. Now U actually get really good acceleration instead of the vacuum cleaner affect. Low end is very strong and will rev out decent. The best part is my mpg is back up. I recently did a long distance road trip pulling a small trailer, about 2000lbs. The first half of the trip was very hilly. I thought 14mpg would be great under this condition. The first fill up netted 16.5 mpg. Every fill up averaged around 16mpg for the duration of the trip at 60-65mph. The tow tune drives alot better than the mileage xs tune and the stock tune but trumps both in economy. My first tank unloaded, driving around town so far is 17.5mpg and slowly going up. All listed ratings are hand calculated. I will say that my evic is right on now. It was off about 3/4 to 1.5 mpg. I may have accidentally found a way to recalculate it. Alot of people know how to reset the gauges, I've done it quite a few times with negative results to correct the evic reading, until one day. After I filled up at the gas station, I decided to reset the gauges before leaving. Doing it this way fixed my evic error, and now it's right on. ... show more

  • As described!!!
Easy to follow instructions. Updated on my computer. Then it’s plug and play. I was able to turn on or off the TPMS. I was nervous it wouldn’t based on another review. All tunes have worked and my Jeep runs great! I was on the fence about adding the throttle module but this device allowed to me update the response of the stock accelerator. I am very pleased and would recommend to friends! ... show more

  • Does what I needed
Easy to use and has several options to customize settings on my jeep. Was able to recalibrate for tire size and much more

  • Really helped drivability
Worked as advertised. I was able to calibrate for the 37” tires and 5:13 gears in my 2008 jk. Before that the engine would really struggle to maintain even low highway speeds. With the 91 octane tune It’s not a problem now, I’m no longer the slowest vehicle on the freeway! It also GREATLY improved the throttle lag. I haven’t been going easy on it and after a few tanks through it the computer says about a 2 mpg increase. While it does greatly improve drivability for modified jk’s, dont expect it to be a sports car. We’re driving around underpowered boxes afterall. P.s. the option to get rid of the god awful honk with locking was worth it alone. ... show more
