  • This half tree is on the taller side
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this medium cat tree for my kitten, he loves to climb. Turns out my Lhasa Apso loves it more, mostly because it’s near the rat cage. My dog uses this tree as a perch to watch my pet rats. To weigh down the tree, I placed a gallon sized bottle of snow melt on the base. This amount is usually plenty for my cats, however my Lhasa Apso is barely too heavy. Either way the tree is against the wall, and next to a piece of furniture. Assembly was easy, took me about 10-minutes using my own tools. *Using my own tools makes it easier to strip out the soft wood, I just remind myself it’s for cats, not heavy equipment. The included tool is a little unique. The tool is the typical included right angle Allen-Key, however one end has a cross-tip screwdriver end. Using this tool would’ve almost doubled the time. Instructions were clear, and easy to understand. I have too many pets to permanently place anything, I never use the included wall screws. My oldest cat Misty is feral, she refuses to use the scratching posts. She also is a ground dweller, she has never been a climber. I knew she wouldn’t use this tree at all. She prefers the couches and the real trees outside. My kitten Joker, her son is the specific animal this tree is for. He does use the scratching posts, and he loves to climb up high, and nap high up also. Though he watches his mother scratch the furniture, he does not scratch any of the furniture. This tree is an addition to the existing trees to make sure him, and any future kittens do not scratch the couches. He loves the ball, two were included. One ball has a bell, and the other does not. I attached the ball with the bell, sound is always better. I may never need the spare, my dogs have no interest in them. My other feral cat Harley, he loves the scratching posts. He does not climb up high. He also does not scratch the furniture. He’s a big boy, huge claws and teeth. He was the runt of the feral litter outside on the farm. He’s the sweetheart. Given how tall he is, I was so surprised to see him using this tree to scratch and stretch. He usually likes the taller, thicker posts. Overall I am very happy with this post, 2 of the 3 cats is good enough for me. So far I have not seen any of the cats sleeping in the hammock. All of my cats and dogs use this tree to play on, including my Pit Bull. My Pit Bull is small, she weighs only 42lbs. She doesn’t climb or jump on the tree but she does stand on it. The top bed has a removable cover, I placed a folded blanket underneath for extra cushion. Neither the bottom or top beds have cushion, just the soft covers. The spring ball at the bottom nice, I hope the dogs continue to ignore that ball also. This is their tallest half tree, stands almost exactly waist high. The oval shaped base is wider than other half trees this size. ... show more

  • My cats love it
My cats really enjoy this. The only thing I noticed wast the balls come unattached easily. Otherwise, good product.

  • My favorite Cat house
My two cats love this house as is fun and super comfortable and has many places to play and hide. My cats love jumping up and down and this house makes it perfect for them since it's adjustable. hanging toys next to the nail scratcher is a plus.

  • Really nice smaller cat tree
We have a few cat trees in our house, but decided to get a slightly smaller one, for one of our older cats. It's a little heartbreaking to see her still attempt to make it to the top. With this smaller option, she gets to be queen of the castle still. However, be warned, there's one "hammock" style platform for cats to curl up in. This is clearly incredibly comfortable, as they all seem to want to lie there at the same time. It's been a long time since our cats fought over a cat tree option, but disharmony rules right now, buyer beware!! :) ... show more

  • Complicated assembly but solid
This was pretty complicated to put together. Not rocket science, but it's got a lot of pieces. But once it's together it's pretty solid. The base is a little small, so I do recommend using the wall mount. I was worried that the hammock was too small for my cat (he's pretty normal sized), but, well, if he fits he sits. It wound up being his favorite part. Overall, it's a good cat tree, especially for the price. I have another one that he much prefers, but that also cost 3 times as much. ... show more

  • Not on my floors
The bottom had screws and anchors that had nothing to prevent it from touching the floor. This may not be an issue for some but I did not want to put it on hardwood floors to scratch them up. I could have possibly put a mat under it but that’s a separate purchase for something that should already be considered. If you are using it on carpet or on floors you don’t care about it would be a decent purchase. I did not even fully assemble since I saw the issue almost immediately. ... show more

  • Simple and nice look
This is a perfect cat tree with households with 1-2 cats. The padded bed and condo are large and spacious that works well for large cats. This was easy to assemble and only took less than 20 minutes to fully put together. Would recommend this to those looking for a nice cat tree that has a convenient size. ... show more

  • Seems like solid enough materials, but manufactured completely wrong.
Headline says it all. The parts appear to be solid enough, and if this could be assembled the way the instructions say it can be, this would probably be a delightful addition to my living room. My cat was very interested in the pieces while I was unpacking it, for sure. However, none of the holes on the parts line up the way the directions say that they should, and half of the holes that are supposed to have a metal piece inside them to allow you to screw other pieces into those spots don't have the metal fitting, while other holes that make no sense have the metal fittings instead. Good concept, but terribly made. ... show more
