I simply love these chairs! We live on the Gulf and I am tired of the struggle with damage to metal, wood, and fabric. I've been wanting to purchase a poly wood type product for quite a while, but the cost of "name brand" outdoor poly has been quite prohibitive. Then I found these chairs! They arrived well packaged and partially assembled. The seats and backs are in one piece, you put them together with the arm supports and side legs. They are easily completed with the tools supplied and I had no problem with damage nor misaligned holes. The chairs are heavy and sturdy. The "oversize" is perfect for my 6'4" hubby and very comfy for me with a pillow. I bought the gray weathered chairs and looove the color! The "wood" is textured plus the color is a blend of gray/white/cream, as shown in the closeup, which will help to hide any dust or impact from our harsh weather. Unfortunately the seller does not offer the same gray accessories in this line so I paired the gray with white tables and foot stools. I'm looking forward to using this set, carefree, for years to come! ... show more

I debated between these chairs an others made of poly lumber. The others were almost double in price so I took a chance on these. I'm very happy with my choice. They look like real wood and not poly chairs. That being said, the texture of the chairs are not as smooth as some plastic chairs, but that doesn't bother me at all. I'd rather have the look and feel of real wood than the look and feel of smooth plastic. They are comfortable and if I ever wanted to I could add cushions. If you are looking for a small side table the LZRS Adirondack Square Outdoor Side Table in the Brown Mixture color matches it perfectly. ... show more

These chairs are great quality and very comfortable! We purchased four to go around our fire pit. We ordered brown, but they are actually wood grain and look really nice. It took my husband a little while to assemble all four, but wasn't extremely difficult.

Six parts, four steps, 15 minutes is all it takes according to the quick assembly pictorial on the product website for the "ACUEL Adirondack Chair" which is also described as oversized. Let's start at the beginning. The quick pictorial and the guide that comes with the chair show a different order for assembly. The pictorial guide here is the more useful and easier way. First, though, assemble the chair where you plan to use it. It would be hard to move otherwise. I laid out the sections and spent a few minutes in that panic mode that sweeps over you when you have unboxed a project like this chair and discover that the hardware included does not match what the instruction manual states is going to be needed. The longer pair of 55 MM bolts were not there but a dozen 43 MM bolts were. I plowed ahead and assembled the chair in about 20 minutes regardless, using my own tools instead of the dreadful freebie wrench. Overall, I think this chair was pretty easy to put together. I do not know if the instructions are out of date, if the chair now has all bolts of one size, or if the thing will one day simply collapse because the correct hardware was missing. But it seems fairly solid and stable, though a bit of give in the upper half of the back is noticeable. So the chair looks OK and seems solid enough. It's comfortable to a point, and I cannot imagine napping in this chair without some adding some padding first, and finding a thin cushion may be the next order of business. The fake poly lumber is, to me, a bit more uncomfortable than wood, but I do believe it will weather the elements for at least a few years. It's of course too soon to issue any opinion on durability, so I will revisit this review if issues do crop up later. Pricewise, there are other poly wood chairs cheaper than this one and more expensive than this one. I think this one is a bit overpriced, so I would not rate it as a best buy. And I don't get why it would be considered oversized. It isn't overly wide or bigger than similar chairs. ... show more

I rated this chair 5 stars since it's very comfortable and especially because it's the only one I found that is big enough to support my legs and my head (I'm 5'7", 132 pounds, not so large). I like the angle of the back too. I find it most comfortable using a half-inch closed-cell foam to cushion my back and head. I like the weathered wood look, but the "cut" ends don't look weathered so the side view looks a little odd approaching the chair up the steps to the deck. Kind of wish I had selected the dark brown. Very easy and straight-forward to assemble. The only reason I debated the half-star is that when I sit on the very front to put on or remove my yard boots, the front slat or two creak. I am able to deform them slightly if I just press on one board. I am careful to sit farther back in the chair now, since I like it so much I want it to last and last. Would buy more of these if I needed more ... show more

Chairs similar to these were twice as expensive in my area. These are sturdy, heavy chairs that have handled the extreme outdoor conditions here very well. You will likely have to re-tighten fasteners after a few weeks. Would recommend if you don't mind buying foreign made product.
