  • Great quality Easy & quick to assemble
Color: Grey
I purchased four of these chairs for my fire pit. They are great quality. They were easy to put together for one person. All the holes lined up perfectly. They provided extra screws, the Allen wrench & the screwdriver for each chair. They were packaged very well to prevent damage. I was thrilled with the quality of these chairs for the price. I paid $129 for Pollywood chairs that will hold up to 350 pounds & they have a cup holder. ... show more

  • Narrow but comfy enough chair
* 1 star removed due to issues with assembly I ended up having to replace the first chair I received because it was very difficult to assemble and the included tools they had were so cheap that I actually stripped the nut and screws to the point where I couldn't continue assembly or take it apart either. The second chair assembly went much smoother, the tools included still were terrible and by the end they were so mangled they didn't even work anymore, but the chair was assembled and worked so it turned out fine. Honestly, I really like this chair and think it's pretty comfortable. It makes you sit up a bit straighter than I normally would, but that's not too bad, and the fact it can fold up is pretty nice, though we won't ever really use that feature. As you can see in the pictures, it looks really nice and looks really solid, definitely seems to hold up to the 450lb weight limit advertised. There are a couple of weird things though, like the way the arms attach, they seem like they're shaped to line up flush against the side of the chair, but they don't, they stick out from the side of it pretty far, so you can see there's a gap between the back and the arm of the chair where they connect which is really odd. I think that piece's shape really wasn't thought through well, but either way it still attached and works so it's fine. Also, as shown in the photos, there's these weird like angles that stick up and out from both ends of the right and left armrest, and I have no idea why they're pointed the way they are. I'm seriously a bit concerned one of my kids or someone passing by might clip one of those or snag something on it and cause an issue, it's just odd that they stick out so far past the edge of the armrests. Assembly for the first chair took almost a full hour and was absolutely terrible, I stripped multiple screws, the included tool to hold the nut in place was completely bent to where it didn't even work anymore, and I ended up having to pay $31 to my local UPS store just to re-package it (I couldn't even get it disassembled to ship it in the original box) and it was just a total disaster. Assembly for the second chair went much better, only took about 20 minutes, was super straightforward and much easier and everything went together perfectly, though the tool used to hold the nuts in place while tightening the screw did break again by the end, but I had another tool I was able to use in place of that (a socket wrench). All in all, this chair supports a high weight limit, looks pretty good, folds up pretty compact which most chairs like this don't do, and in general seems like a great chair, barring the assembly issues I experienced. ** One last thing, if you do order this, during assembly, pay extra attention to the length of the screws it says to use, because once you attach the nut onto a screw you can't get it off again (this happened to me) and there's two different pairs of screws included in the hardware for this that are different lengths, so make extra sure you use the right length ones for the instructions (don't get L and M screws confused) or you won't be able to assemble the chair and will have the same issues I had with my first one. ... show more

  • A very nice quality chair
Adirondack chairs always look so nice. But the quality ones are expensive, and the inexpensive ones are not quality. This isn't cheap, but it's certainly not one of the more costly chairs available. And the quality is higher than the price. I prefer the feel of real wood, but in the PNW, real wood doesn't last that long outside. This material will last significantly longer than a real wood chair wood, which is yet another reason they're well worth the price. It's definitely a 2 person job to assemble. I tried on my own first and just got angry. Once you have help, it's pretty easy to assemble, doesn't take long, and conveniently folds to be out of the way when the weather really turns nasty ... show more

  • I really like this chair, quite sturdy as well as attractive. And comfortable.
After 77 years, I finally have my very own Adirondack chair! Assembly was a bit of an adventure since I decided to assemble it in my yard so I could have lots of room to maneuver around. All would have been well if the bag of hardware had been sealed, or at least taped closed. When I pulled it from the box, it opened and several nuts and washers ended up in the grass. After a rousing round of hide and seek, I located all the misplaced parts and laid out a blanket to continue on, thus avoiding a repeat performance. Everything was well marked, all the pieces were there, and there were exactly the necessary number of each screw, bolt, nut, and washer. Note that it is EXACTLY the correct number, there are no extras of anything, and finding an exact replacement at the hardware store may not be easy. The only things that slowed me down were locating a 10mm open end wrench, a 10 mm socket wrench, a Philips head screwdriver, and my drill with bits. The socket wrench because the supplied strip of hardened metal sheeting with a notch cut in one end was not an adequate wrench for anyone. The box end wrench because the socket was just barely too shallow to tighten several of the nuts fully and I had no deep sockets. And the drill because the holes in the arm pieces where you attach them to the rest of the chair were blocked in the center. The bolts would go halfway in from either end, but stop there. A quick shot with the drill fixed that and that was that. Once assembled, I moved it to the shade under my crepe myrtle tree and discovered why so many people have this style of outdoor chair. It is quite comfortable, easy to get up from (an important feature for old guys like me), and quite nice looking. The high density polyethylene means it will weather the rains and last for many years with virtually no maintenance. Since this chair folds up so completely flat, it makes me wonder why the manufacturer didn't simply assemble it fully at the factory and avoid the potential problems with people assembling it, the box would not have been much different in size. The price is the only reason that I would hesitate buying another, but that probably won't stop me once my wife settles into it. She likes the Aruba blue color. ... show more
