There are many popular handguns on the market, due to the size difference of the handguns, each mounting plate is slightly different in dimensions. The screw comes with our red dot come with a pair of M3x6mm screws to connect to the pre-assembled picatinny mounting base. Some mounting plates made by other companies for specific handgun might need a longer screw such as M3x8mm or shorter screw such as M3x4mm depends on the thickness of the mounting plate/adapter. • If you want a red dot for a 22 AR-15. This will do just fine.
Bought this for a joke build for my sar 9. The plan was that I could only buy gun accessories off of Amazon and then I'd see if I could beat my buddy in three gun. I'd say that this is a sub par pistol red dot. The first one I received was very touchy. It wouldn't turn on or off or switch brightness reliably. The one I got as a replacement worked fine. the thing that surprised me was that it held zero. and I didn't baby it. I beat the devil out of it. I didn't smash it on stuff. But after the match I put it through a torture test. This red dots probably got a little less than 700 rounds on it. And it started to just turn off. It isn't broken. It works just like normal when turning it on or off and changing the brightness. It just randomly turns off or changes brightness while shooting. I wouldn't recommend this as a slide mounted pistol red dot. If you're mounting it on something like a Ruger 22 pistol or on just about any rifle that doesn't beat you up when you shoot it it should be just fine. It's just cant handle being battered around sitting on top of a pistol slide. This red dot did what I wanted it to do and I new from the beginning that the cheap stuff on Amazon won't last. So I can't fault it. That should be common sense. I wasn't expecting vortex quality out of this. All and all it's a decent little red dot on a budget. It's definitely larger than a 5moa dot. But who cares. I don't think most people are trying to drive tacks with a red dot anyways. If you're trying to get a red dot for a rifle that's 308 or lower calibre. (I probably wouldn't suggest bolt actions) or a 22 pistol with a rail. This is a good budget friendly option. ... show more

  • Amazing little piece of machinery.
Originally bought this optic for my Glock 22 .40 S&W, it was one of the main results when I searched for Glock Reflex Sights, Ade also makes like a mount plate you can put right on the rear sight, so I figured just go with the same manufacturer for both. Well I never got to add this to my Glock, Mostly because I wanted to learn how to shoot with it without the help of the reflex sight, I just wanted to have the sight available when I was ready. So something else happened that ruined those plans, another reflex sight I had bought for my shotgun completely sucked and failed, and I really wanted to use a sight with the shotgun and I had this one sitting there so I decided to use it on my Remington 870 Express Shotgun. I had a bore sight laser for the shotgun to calibrate the optic but to my surprise the optic was centered right out of the box, I did nothing more than take it out of the box and mount it on the picatinny rail saddle mount on my shotgun, took it to the range and shot some slugs with it, it was awesome, It was so fun and easy to shoot with, Im totally satisfied with this item, Im going to buy another one, this time a green dot sight for my Micro Roni. Really awesome product, and the price is fantastic. Update: It is now 1/19/2019 when I write this. The red dot is still bright still on its first battery. I used this sight frequently, I have used it on my remington 870 express shotgun 12 gauge, then I put it on my Mini-14, took it off when I put a scope and trasferred it to my Glock Micro Roni Carbine Kit, it was shooting .40 S&W & 9MM out of the roni, decided to put it back on the mini 14 which is .223, and now its back on my remington 870 I have bought about 4 high quality red dots, 2 from vortex and 2 from holosun each at least $175 more expensive than this one, those are great as well, mostly because people would give me a hard time about this ade red dot, but honestly there was no need, but I dedicate an optic red dot to each rifle and pistol I have been moving this one around as I substitute it with pricier ones, but this one is still perfect and of comparable performance, but if your on a budget or you just want to test out a red dot and see if they work for you, this is a good start, but even beyond that, its a really good quality, Im surprised its not more popular, this has found its final resting place on the same shotgun I posted my original review about, if your gonna buy another ADE red dot, I suggest you go with this one. They have a green dot one I bought, which is excellent, but I think this one is better. You cant go wrong. ... show more

  • Great red dot for bangin on a budget
I bought this red dot to try on my Canik TP9SFX. Since its purchase and install I've fired around 2000 rounds and tested it in various conditions before reviewing. Cons: Under mount battery compartment requires removal of the sight in order to change the battery. Adjustment can be tricky as the flat head windage/ elevation screws have no click to let you know how many MOA you've adjusted (on the plus side, the sight comes with an adjustment dial to help estimate your changes). No shake-awake feature for quick turn on but, for the price, I was expecting a lot of fanciness. The dot is not the most crisp compared to a vortex or burris, but gets the job done. Pros: This sight is easy to install and fits on most commonly available mounting plates. After 2000 rounds, this thing has held zero with no issues. Just make sure you lock the zero with the rear set screws. The brightness is adjustable via the combination power and brightness adjustment button, and is easy to adjust on the fly with a gloved hand due to the button size (I should mention however, that the power button turns the dot on to its brightest setting by default). At 5 MOA, this dot is easy to find and easy to see, ESPECIALLY if you suffer from any, ahem, age-related eye issues. By far, this sight is worth the money. If you are new to shooting with a carry optic, or put your firearm through a lot of training abuse, give this a try. ... show more
