The distinguishing feature I was looking for in a high end u-lock is a solid rack mount. Most reviews, however, focus on angle grinders, not how to carry a big lock. This system exceeds my expectations. The mounting bracket has 2 rubber coated metal straps on one end that wrap around and back (secured with a hex wrench) and hefty rubber straps on the other. I like how ABUS posts videos on their social medias showcasing the strength of their locks! That’s 100% honesty! You don’t see Kryptonite Onguard Hiplok Litelok do that! When companies comeout with their new *Strongest u Lock* campaign costumers have gotten so emotionally attached to their brand aka Kryptonite that they will no longer mention it or ask the magical question! Show me the torture videos of your locks? The Big K won’t do that! I seen in a cutting test video GRanit Super Xtreme 2500 vs D1000 vs X3 The X3 lasted 4 minutes to cut just one side the D1000 8 minutes for 1 side the Granit Super Xtreme 2500 on the other hand….. THIRTEEN MINUTES for just one side! WOW! it took the guy cutting it 4 discs and 2 batteries that’s really strong! Granted yes the Price is high but the Security is high level! It performed really well against the other locks! It’s really easy to use as well! ABUS is like Ferrari of Locks Real great quality for the price! ... show more

    • Good product, hopefully gets better
for the price of it i would think the machining to be a little better, it's a little picky about alignment, so i usually push down on the top whilst locking it so it doesn't fight me. Other than that, heavy duty lock great for locking up ebikes. You'll likely run out of angle grinder discs or attract the cops before you bust the lock off. ... show more
