Each link has a thickness of 1/4", inside height of 1 1/8" and inside width of 3/8".This chain requires 4 tons of cutting force to break through the hardened steel.

I used to use a cable lock on my bike, which would occasionally get new scratches and cut marks on it from people attempting to cut through it. I can’t speak to the durability of this chain. Never tried to cut it. HOWEVER, I can speak to the IMPRESSION of durability, which counts for a lot as a deterrent. There isn’t a single scratch anywhere on it after over a year of use. Nobody has even attempted to get through, because the chain looks indestructible. The chain is just long enough that I can loop it through the frame and front wheel of my bike. Purchased 2 Predator Generators for when we take our Airstream camping sans electricity. I use this in combination with an Abus lock to secure two gens and a gas can. I researched this extensively as one is merely buying seconds from a determined thief with an angle grinder, but, nonetheless, this is the best reasonable choice for someone without a financial limitation as to cost.
