Incontinence is not a one-size-fits-all condition. The Abri-San Premium Pad range provides a selection of anatomically shaped pads creating a complete system for all degrees of incontinence - from light to moderate to heavy. Currently, the Abri-San Premium Pad range has a numeric system beginning with Size 1 until Size 11 - the 11 being the largest and most absorbent. Abri-San Premium Pads are as small as 2.75” x 9” (Size 1) or as large as 14” x 27.5” (Size 11) and can absorb as little as 200ml (Size 1) or as much as 3400ml (Size 11). Please Note: Most U.S. manufactured adult briefs and diapers only absorb 2500ml. Abri-San Premium Pads are ultra premium: they are constructed with the most innovative technology and unsurpassed quality; they are completely breathable which ensures better overall skin health; they are certified free of dangerous chemicals and allergens. Did you also know that Abri-San Premium Pads have been awarded the Nordic Swan Eco-Label? This means that you not only get an ultra premium product, but the product is certified free of dangerous chemicals and all known allergens. There are NO phthalates, organotins (MBT, DBT, TBT), heavy metals, Cl (chlorine), HCHO (formaldehyde), colophonium, AZO-pigments, PVC, substances known as harmful to health or the environment, and any compounds listed on the SVHC (REACH Article 33) - a European Union List of Substances of Very High Concern. (2) Most Absorbent Pads on the Market - The use of long cellulose fibers, superabsorbent polymers, a unique fiber separation technique, and an additional core in the center provide for maximum absorption, strength and dispersion of the liquid absorbed . (3) Top Dry Layer - A Top-Dry acquisition layer and embossed channels assist this process, while increasing dryness and user comfort. (4) Leakage Guards - Soft, highly repellent and reliable leakage barriers, extending right to the edge, ensure unrivalled leakage protection in all situations. On the bigger pads, a built-in cross barrier offers optimum protection against rear leakage. (5) Wetness Indicator - An external wetness indicator facilitates the work of care staff. (6) Completely Breathable - Air Plus breathable textile-like back sheet provides increased comfort and minimizes the risk of skin irritation.     • A Comfortable and Absorbent Pad to Keep You Dry
Using an adult diaper in the summer can be uncomfortable. Many diapers have sides or wings that don't breathe causing sweaty hips and upper thighs. If you need the protection of an adult diaper without the sides, try the Abri-San Premium Pads in Size 11. They are a very large pad that has padding that is the same width and length as the medium Abena Abri-Form M4 adult diaper. This pad weighs 155 grams vs. 175 grams for the Abena M4. Abena call these pads part of a two piece system, as it is meant to be used with their snug fitting washable pants or in a pinch could probably be used with snug fitting underwear. It is a bit of a learning curve to apply the product to the body and takes some adjustment to get the pad to settle into the groin in position to protect you. There is a bit of bulk between the legs that takes some getting used to at first. If you are used to a thicker standard diaper, it will feel familiar in fit, but if you are coming from a store brand of bladder control pad or protective underwear, it may feel too bulky to wear comfortably. The good news is that the Abena Abri-San line of pads comes in 14 sizes/absorbancy levels, so you should be able to find a product that fits your level of bladder incontinence. There is even an Abri-San pad made just for people who have bowel incontinence that has deep side pockets down the entire length to keep everything safely contained. The outer cover is breathable and fabric like, so they are quiet when you are moving around while wearing them. The inner liner is very smooth and soft to the touch, similar in feel to cotton undies. The pad is fairly thick and hourglass shaped with wider padding at the rear. There are elastic leg gathers at the center of the pad and leak guards that run lengthwise along the entire pad. The absorbency is rated the same as the Abri-Form M4 diaper, but I find I leak a bit more at the legs in these pads because I cant get the same snug fit as I can with a traditional tape-on diaper. The pad can also shift a bit to one side and this can increase leaks at the legs. For this reason, I would not recommned them at night if you have heavy leakage or are an active sleeper. What they excel at is keping the area that they cover cooler, especially around the hips. I sweat much less when I wear these instead of a diaper. They are definitely comfortable to wear and remain comfortable as they are used for their intended purpose. They do swell as they fill with urine, but the inner surface still feels dry to the touch and keeps the skin dry even when they are full. I would definitely recommend them for summer use or for times when you need less bulk at the hips, such as when wearing dress pants. If you are looking for an alternative to a diaper and need the absorbency of a diaper for heavy bladder leakage, give these a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. ... show more

These guards were purchased after having colon cancer and losing some bowel control. This is the only guard that offers enough protection to feel comfortable going out in public or places where a bathroom may not be readily available. If you have any kind of control issues you know that bladder control guards don't work for this issue. Abena San offers protections and peace of mind. ... show more

    • GIANT!!! NO RETURNS!!!
We've yet to use these. They are giant/huge, see the size and get out your measuring tape. They don't have any adhesive to stick them to a depends or similar. You can't return them! Not sure what we'll do with them, maybe cut in half and use gorilla tape.

have worn incontinence products 24/7 since 1981. abena is the best. abri-san’s modified hour-glass shape distribute fluids over broad area front and back—a much more comfortable system than the traditional rectangle (which confines fluids to a narrow strip between one’s legs). abri-san has a thin protective non-plasticized backing that doesn’t trap body heat. i wear snug cotton french-cut underwear or an abri-flex brief to keep the pad securely in place. haven’t needed adhesive strips in years. i buy sizes 5-8-11. 5’s for morning & afternoon when i’m most active; 8’s for occasional confined sitting (travel) or days when a nap appropriate; 11’s for 8-10 hours of uninterrupted sleep. sometimes will add a booster, or an abri-flex brief, or a gary-wear water-proof pull up, rather than underwear at night. there isn’t one pad that will meet every need every time. a variety assures flexibility. experiment. ... show more
