This tiller is build well. It makes quick work of softer soil. It is great for smaller areas. I have been putting it through the wringer though. I have been using it to till a first 1-2 inches of soil so I can reseed the grass in my backyard. It has worked so far, I am happy that it so light weight, I can keep the tilling depth pretty light and for the most part my top soil is softer. However, if you do try to use this in rocky soil or clay it does not perform well. It’s not really meant for that. Overall though, pretty happy with it so far. We were pleasantly surprised by the strength and ease of use of this tiller. I would not use it on a shale or clay-heavy turf, but this rototiller cleaned out a fallow flower bed like a dream, extracting roots and all!
