This Wormhole Pro pen is one of the best pens I’ve ever used. The color is eye-popping and flashy. The body of the pen is thick and feels well balanced in my hand. It has a solid construction and feels like it’s built to last. I also like the large lcd screen that’s easy to read. This pen has built-in dotwork mode so you don’t have to use a separate power source that has dotwork capabilities. The most amazing feature of this pen, however, is the ability to adjust among 7 different strokes lengths 2.4mm 2.7mm 3.0mm 3.3mm 3.6mm 3.9mm 4.2mm. The different stroke lengths are imprinted on the body of the pen in white which makes it very easy to read. In case you’re unfamiliar, long stroke lengths of 4.0mm+ are typically only used for lining, as they pack in ink with hard-hitting strokes. Long strokes pull the boldest lines in a single pass. Medium stroke lengths of 3.5mm can perform a little bit of everything. It’s most commonly used for color packing and shading. And short stroke lengths of 1.8mm-2.5mm are perfect for soft shading and blending work. This tattoo gun works shockingly well in my opinion! As an amateur tattoo enthusiast, it was very easy to set up and start using. The directions are very clear and helpful for begginers. My friend who does professional tattoos also said this is a high quality machine for a portable device, he was able to produce some tattoos that look just as good as a wired gun. I am not a tattoo artist and I will not be using this on human skin. I got this to see if I can tattoo leather. While I haven't worked my way up to that, it works well on the fake skin. My biggest complaint is that it's wide and kind of awkward to hold. Maybe that's just how tattoo guns are though, I don't know. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'm just in the beginning phases of learning how to tattoo, and I've tried many different machines now. This only comes with the pen, but fortunately I’ve built up quite a supply of consumables, so lack of accessories isn’t an issue. I’d suggest waiting on this machine until you’ve reached an upper beginner to intermediate level and are ready to work with real skin, though this probably wouldn’t be the best bet for your long-term machine as it isn’t as involved and versatile as the higher-end machines. The on/off, depth adjustments, and speed fine-tuning were fairly easy and self-explanatory. The gun has more adjustment features for different usage modes and has a very sensitive adjustable needle depth than you get with the base-level kit machines, which really helps when you're still trying to master how far to hold the gun to get the right skin depth (1-2 mm). The machine has a decent run time between charges, though it decreases with higher voltages. The multi-modal feature with bursts is especially helpful and versatile. I still don't feel confident working on actual skin, so I'm still just practicing with skins and intermittently shading in some decades-old scars from an old accident to try it out on actual skin. This machine was easy to handle and allows for steady handling and an even and consistent depth, and the needle didn't hurt any more than professional tattoos. The ink was deposited evenly over the scar tissue area and is healing evenly. The skin trauma was no worse than any of the professional tattoos I've ever gotten, and the healing went by without a hitch, though it was itchier than normal as expected due to the tattoo being done over a keloid scar. Overall, this is a very user-friendly machine for someone in the later beginner phases of learning tattooing and is an excellent value for the money. ... show more

I absolutely love the color of this. That is what led me to get it. It also performs very well and I find it easy to grip. It is also easily adjustable and runs quite quietly. I found it to hold a good charge and last long enough for me. Overall, I have been very impressed with the wormhole brand.
