    • Great privacy or sun bloxk
I'm using this to block the neighbor's view. It would work for a sun block as well. When putting it up, consider the wind pattern as it won't do well with wind (for wind you'll need one wth cut outs so wind goes though and does not rip).

I got this as a basic sunshade to go over my 6 x 6‘ garden bed. It gets extremely hot here in Texas during the summer and my plants need a bit of protection so I have shade so I can shade overhead.. I’m not exactly using it the way that it is intended, but it definitely suits my needs very well. This is also a good option if you are looking for a side shade wall for a pergola canopy.     • Attractive Option that Gets the Job Done

We got this to shade the side of our back porch that gets the most morning sun, and where the view is mostly of the neighbors driveway and kitchen window. This is an attractive option which still allows some light and breeze through, which is extremely helpful. The grommets are pretty sturdy, so it was easy to rig up and we feel comfortable leaving it in place for the most part. It took some time for the creases to relax out, but I don't mind them so much. Of course there are limitations with the specific sizes, and ours is not a perfect fit to the space we are trying to cover, but it gets the job done, and I would imagine if you are building a porch or pergola specifically to fit these that could be very elegantly done. The colors work well with the dark wood stain of the house, and it doesn't look too artificial. It is great having movable privacy on that side, and extra shade as the days are warming up. ... show more

I think this is a great way to add some privacy to your patio especially if your backyard is like mine and is just covered minimally by a chain link fence. Without this to add some private areas in my backyard it was not very fun to go out and entertain guests with the neighbors on all sides having a clear view of everything that I might have going on. This is easy to hang up and I installed it using clips and a mounted curtain wire so that I can easily draw it closed or slide it back open to let the sun in. It covered my patio nicely and is very hard to see thru if at all. It makes it nice on hot days as well as it doesn’t let much sun through the material so you can make your space cooler and protect patio furniture and yourself from the offensive summer sun. I like this product and I think the brown color looks nice, the material feels thick and durable and I do not have concerns about it getting ripped easily. This is a tarp that isn't weather proof. It comes with some parachute rope and this tarp. My mistake for letting the wife pick quick. Neither of us apparently realized we were buying an overpriced tarp. I mean, it gets the job done, but it's not really a shade or a patio this or that. I had a very specific need for these types of privacy panels and have so far acquired an 8’x8’ panel and an 8’x10’ panel and I am happy to say that they are doing the job! These canvas privacy panels have many different uses. We have a small cabana towards the back of our patio. It only has one full wooden wall and a partial wall that is half wood and half lattice. The other two sides are wide open by flimsily covered by a soft mesh screen to keep out the summertime flying pests. When winter comes we typically move all the summer furniture under the cabana roof and then cover them all with tarps and furniture covers. Our problem is that our neighborhood is always being pestered by pesky raccoons and possums who are rummaging for food and shelter. When the cold and damp weather arrives, we sometimes find a family of one of these rodents snuggled under the cover of our large patio table. As much as we wouldn’t want to harm any animal, we still don’t want to start each spring by finding shredded patio furniture, food bones and droppings on the floor of our cabana. This year we are hoping the solution will come in the form of these canvas cloth privacy screens. By hanging these over the previously open spaces, we can effectively (hopefully) keep out our wintertime uninvited guests. The privacy screens are easy to hang since they have steel grommets woven into the edges on all sides. This allows us to hang them via hooks, screws or nails and to attach them to an adjacent screen by means of the fabric ties that come with each set. You can see both of these features in the photos I have attached. The grommets sit in a reinforced fabric border that runs around the perimeter of the screen so they will keep your panel in place against the winds and weather. These hang just like curtains and a fabricated with a strong canvas like material (actually a high density polyethylene) that will not only provide privacy, it will hold up to all kinds of weather while being breathable enough that the winds of winter won’t tear it to shreds. We have used this type of screen in the past when a wire fence around our pool faced the street. We attached these screens to the fence and had plenty of privacy, much less direct sunlight, and still enjoyed plenty of summer breezes.
