It is a great multi-charger for phones, flashlights etc., but is a highlight because it also is a real time voltmeter of your cars electrical charging/ battery condition. On your cars startup sequence, prior to actual startup (accessories), this device will show you, with a pretty blue digital light, what charge your battery is holding and then after you start the car, it shows active, real time voltage of your charging system. Essentially, it will show you when your car battery is not holding charge (prior to actual ignition start) and also shows if your charging system is working properly. Nice. I have also charged my phone with this device plugged into cigarette lights connection and it works great, The fast charge port is fast and the other 3 ports are more than adequate. This unit is made of plastic, but has been very sturdy. I've had it fir a little while now, but have not gad any problems with overheating. It charges quickly and consistently and cinnects easily to all my devices. I love the car battery output display. It's especially useful on my older beauty.

I had no problems at all with my truck battery; started great. With no digital gauge in my truck, I bought this to see actual voltage. Noticed that after turning the truck off, before powering down, battery voltage dropped rapidly to 12.1 volts. A fully charged battery should be 12.5 volts minimum, especially if the vehicle charging system is good. Tested the battery and it tested bad. Fortunately it was still under warranty so it was replaced free of charge. I would have never known the battery condition without this digital gauge until it was too late. ... show more

I bought two of these specifically to monitor the battery and alternator health of my cars. For that purpose, it works great. But as a charger for your phone, it is hit or miss. I tested them using a charging app on my phone. One of them charged at the advertised current. On another, the 2.4 amp sides only charged at 1600 milliamps. I really like the Voltmeter feature as our work van's built-in volt meter is quirky and I was not sure if the alternator was really doing it's job. In my tiny car space is the issue. This usb is accessible from every angle and the light makes it easier to find the connection holes. Also the battery life information… useful. I wouldn’t want any other usb unit.

I like that youcan charge mulitple electonics at once. i liked that it has a volt meter to let you know the status of the charging system. i really dislike that when you do load it up with electronics to charge the voltage starts to drop below the minimum 13.4 volts necesary for a good vehicle charging system to properly keep a 12 volt batery charged up while driving . when i put just two electronics to charge while driving the voltage drops below 13.0 volts . this is decieving and could make a person think that they are in the begining stages of having problems with thier alternator charging/ working porperly. a good alternating charging system will charge any where between 13.4-14.4 volts while the vehicle is on. anything less than that is a sign of a alternator going in to hospice. anything higher is also not good as it could cause damage with overhcarging like a high blood pressure on a human. ... show more
