When I first used it, it did not ring. So I sent a message to the people who I got it from. They did not respond but I did see others review this item and saw that you had to turn the dial all the way to the very end. And then back to the time you needed it and it would work. This is the timer I grew up with. I purchased one of those digital timers and it is now at the city dump. For those of you that are having problems with this timer, READ THE DIRECTIONS! Turn the timer all the way till it stops, and then back it to the time you need. It is very easy to do. Perhaps it is because I used this type of timer from my early days (60s) but it works and it works well. Yes, it will only do an hour at a time, but it is much more trustworthy than the newer ones. I used a digital one and after a year, it wouldn't do anything but tell me the time - the timer stopped working all together. This one is tried and true. ... show more

I wanted a basic analog timer for the kitchen and this seemingly fit that need. The plastic is sturdy and the numbers are easy to read. Unfortunately the bell doesn't ring at conclusion making it worthless. I also dislike that there is no back. **** The "no bell" was an operator error. ****

I use this all the time. Cooking, coloring hair etc. I get tired of Alexa. She's possessed sometimes and goes off doing stuff. This timer, all I have to do is set it and I don't have to worry about any.

It rings loud and clear like the old time ones, which is what I wanted. Seems to be pretty accurate time wise. Just remember to turn it past 55 min then forward to the amount of time you want it set at.

Nice little timer, BUT ---The alarm sound is very low and only rings once. It should be louder and ring at least twice !! Will keep it. Too much trouble to return it. However, I would not recommend it 😔
