I could not get the remote to work even after finally turning the fireplace on with the controls on the fireplace. I had a brand new battery for the remote, so I installed it, then the remote worked okay. I would like to find out "how" to make the flames bigger. Nice variety of colors, warms up a room, & adds a nice ambience/soothing. Not loud, it can get toasty hot or chestnut warm lol. I like how it adds style and elegance to my rustic style room. I don't like that it comes with very few clear rocks. I do believe the burning wood log gives a more realistic look too. This fireplace has a more hologram effect. This love it, still would recommend. It came assembled with easy like instructions to mount. I still would watch a YouTube video.
