I used these for 1/2" polytape. It will not hold any larger. I also ziptied them to the posts of a chainlink fence. They are working well for this installation.

I prefer this design over the mail on style. However, I did need to put a spacer behind some because they sit too close to the fence.

This item does not fit poly wire way to small. Only good for regular electric fence wire. Can't use it on electro braid or poly wire. I would suggest buying the name brand. This item was a waste of money. Also made very cheap.
