    • I will never buy a regular vinyl/rubber hose again
I can throw away the last of my vinyl garden hoses, no more kinks, no more stiff, unmanageable hoses to fight with. Color me happy. I love these stainless steel, flexible, kink free water hoses. The inventor is a genius. This one is particularly nice. The connector ends are well made, and appear to be brass. It came with plumbers tape and 3 washers, but I did not need them. The hose wraps nicely around my hose minder. I will never buy a regular vinyl/rubber garden hose again. The only thing one should be aware is to avoid stepping on them. They tend to roll underfoot, and may cause you to lose your balance. Even so, I love this hose. ... show more

    • Sturdy hose that should last a LOT longer than traditional rubber garden hoses
This stainless steel hose is a nice change-up from regular rubber hoses. They do the basics, carry water, but more importantly, the stainless steel will protect this hose from cracking or breaking in the sun. One more minor, but worth noting point; this hose is particularly SLIPPERY - even when not wet. More so when wet. Instead of just stubbing a toe, this "could" cause a person to take a rolling slip/fall. We place this around the edge (fence line) of the garden to reduce this possibility. We are especially hopeful that this hose will preven destruction we have experienced before from the rodents and wild boars. During our dry summers, the critters tend to chew through exposed water lines and hoses. The stainless steel casing should put a crimp in that diet! ... show more

So I don’t know what happened to traditional hoses but over the past decade they have been going down the drain. They are all just getting brittle and cracking like crazy so we are switching to these metal types to hopefully get away from that. - The hose feels very sturdy. - It is also light weight. An older one we had was also silicone but had green cloth that was funny enough heavier than this one. - It does not tangle or get pinched like a regular hose. Even if it is just thrown in a pile (thanks kids) it untangles super easily. - It also does not get caught like the cloth one did on things. - It was handy that it came with a couple extra washers as they do tend to wear out. - The way the thick “handle” ends screw on is really nice. It not only makes it much easier holding, they prevent added wear that usually occurs at the joint. -Although I do have to say when attaching and more specifically detaching a sprayer nozzle this makes it darn near impossible without a pair of pliers.     • Surprisingly light
I just used this stainless steel garden hose to clean up our outdoor space and patio area and it did not kink once or give me any trouble with maneuverability. I was surprised at how lightweight the hose is as soon as I took it out of the packaging - way lighter and easier to manage than the rubber hoses I remember my dad having when I was growing up. The 25' length was perfect for our relatively small outdoor area for our apartment, but you might want something longer if you have a full yard or need the hose to cover a greater distance for your tasks. Very happy with my order - it helped to make a task that could have taken much longer and could have been much more difficult that much quicker and easier. I've gotten really tired of kinking garden hoses so have decided to try a metal one. So far, this one has not kinked. We'll see how it does over this summer season. I was really surprised by how light this hose is. I wasn't expecting that from a metal hose. The end connectors seem very sturdy. Because this hose has a smaller inside diameter than most regular garden hoses, the flow is somewhat reduced. If it doesn't kink, it will be worth this compromise. ... show more

    • Going all in on steel hoses
I got my first stainless steel hose several months ago. I wasn’t able to try it out right away because there was still snow on the ground here. It finally warmed up enough a couple of weeks ago to give it a go. I was fairly impressed, mostly by how it didn’t kink. Then it snowed again. I was snow blowing a sidewalk when all of a sudden my snow blower was pulled out of my hands and then stalled. I had left the steel hose on the sidewalk where it then got covered by snow. The hose got pulled into the snow blower, winding itself around the paddle assembly that moves the snow a good 6-8 times or so. I figured that killed my new steel hose. When I finally extracted the hose from the snow blower, the steel hose was still intact. It was scuffed and scratched but still works just fine. Going all in on steel hoses! ... show more
