Went through maple and mahogany with no problems. The worked edge looks pretty clean, not quite ready for finishing good, there are some minor lines, but much better than a straight cut bit for around the same price. used this to push a corner in a jig used for the arms of a mortis chair. worked like a charm. i had to cut through 1.5 in of baltic birch plywood and it worked exactly as it should have.

UPDATE: After posting my review, the seller contacted me and sent me a new bit. This one works much better so I'm guessing I had a faulty bit originally. Original Review: It worked great right until it snapped. I like the design and it was cutting well. The ball bearing rolled smoothly. And the nice long shaft gave plenty of cutting surface. My Ryobi router had no issues driving it. I was using it on three-quarter inch pine but maybe it’s just designed for laminate. So I guess if you were just using it for a little stuff, it would work fine for you. But then you wouldn’t need such a long bit. ... show more

This is a high-quality bit. The bearing is tight and works smoothly. The unique fluting give a chatter free cut. Would recommend this bit.
