I used this to rout places for fret markers on the ebony fretboard of my acoustic guitar. It was perfect. The routed cavity was flat on the bottom, with no grain tear- out, and the cutter is still sharp and in good condition. There are ten, so I have 9 new ones after this one to use. The media could not be loaded. I was honestly surprised at how well these worked with 6061 Aluminum. They leave no burrs and a pretty smooth surface finish, at least with the settings I've found to work well on my machine. I have not tried it with other materials yet, but I'd have to say I'm thoroughly satisfied with their value thus far.     • Inexpensive and work well
It's always a gamble buying inexpensive end mills but I only had a few cuts to make and these come in a pack of 10 so even if some of them were dull or they broke during milling, I knew I'd have plenty of spares to get through the job. Turns out they're actually quite good! I used them for contouring 3mm acrylic sheet and doing some plunge cuts in red oak, and in both cases they milled cleanly with out fuss. The cutting length of these isn't particularly long, I wouldn't cut deeper than say 6mm total without milling a relief above your desired contour, but they're sharp and throw chips well. I'll happily buy this brand again when I need inexpensive cutters. ... show more

These things actually impressed me. For the price, and how the photos look, I didn't expect much. But I was in a bind, and needed them fast and at a price. Amazon was the only choice. I am using these in a CNC mill. I have cut brass and aluminum with them. Full slotting in brass, 15k rpm, and 4 IPM these did a beautiful job without giving any fuss. I did break one trying to hail marry bore out a broken HSS tap. It was cutting, however the solid tool holder was simply a bad choice and it broke at the set screw. I didn't figure they would be verry good, But to my surprise they cut good and leave a clean edge and seem to be strong haven't broke one yet, Only used on soft woods so far, I am pleased so far. Good value and price. Update , These bits are amazing I have cut Walnut, Cherry and Plywood, All have been 1/8 to 1/16in thick, about 10 carvings and the 1st bit is still going strong I am really impressed with them so far. ... show more

    • Pay attention to the cutting depth. But awesome buy.
These work very well, and for the cost they are an awesome buy. However, I MUST say, if you are trying to mill any plastics thicker than 5mm. The but will gum up and eventually bind and snap. This is my fault, as I did not look at the cutting depth of these bits. Even though they state 6mm cutting depth, they gum up around 4mm into the cut.
