Obtained these HLMOptimo tie downs for my equipment trailer hauling a Kubota MX5100. At a 12k rating these are adequate for my 6,000 lb machine. Personally don't like the way tie down items are listed or marketed. 12k is break/deform rating of d-ring and assume this is the weakest part of system. Working load is typically 1/4 of break rating. In this case working load would be around 3,000 lbs give or take. About right for the 1/2" material d-ring is made of...I have no way of knowing, nore could I find, rating or quality of steel used in ring. Trusting stamping on ring itself. Using my 6k load and all 4 tie downs...each ring is expected to carry about 1500 lbs (6000÷4)...my working load. You have to use all 4 tie downs in system to safely haul a 12,000# load. And this would be, my opinion, the maximum load for this product as a system...NOT individual rings. Little rough in construction (weld splatter) and finish (paint quality) as compared others I own but don't believe it will affect function. Don't plan on testing break strength but welds appear strong and d-ring is adequate diameter for chains or binder hooks. Hitch pin is 5/8" and cotter pins are heavy duty. Very little play when installed in my stake pockets. I have higher rated d-rings with 1/2" hitch pins...thus earlier assumption that d-ring will be weakest component in system. Deducted one star as parts of description list as 18,000 lb capacity. 12000 is clearly stamped into d-ring. Listed at 18k capacity when i ordered them. Looks like seller updated listing title but not main description. Unless you have a lot of scrap material around you'd be hard pressed to fabricate these for ten bucks each...especially considering time. Good value! Keeper! ... show more

These are absolutely perfect. Heavy duty with a very good coating and slots right into the stake pockets. The pins lock them into place and have multiple ports depending on the depth of the stake pockets on your trailer. The tie-downs are perfect for strapping down a load and seem heavy duty and durable enough to trust to tie down some weight securely. This is a much better option than using the pockets themselves to tie off to like I had been doing. No need for more than one set of them for my other trailer as they are easy to remove and use these. I definitely need to have the same option when I'm hauling with it. The tie downs came in perfect condition and were the sizes described. However, the D-ring was stamped with 12000 lb, not 18000 lb as described. This means the minimum breaking strength is 6000 lb lower than described. All of the parts fit together well and fit in the standard stake pockets of my trailer. ... show more

These fit perfectly in the stake pockets of my flatbed. I use them to secure my truck camper to the bed and they are working perfectly for that purpose. They are plenty strong enough and the D ring allows easy flexibility while I am attaching my turnbuckles. They come in very handy when I am carrying other stuff and just need to lash it down. I got these for a 20 foot dovetail trailer. The trailer has no sides but had stake pockets for accessories. The tie down fits nicely into the pockets and the pins are hefty and are bigger than most others supply. The only negative is the D ring is not as big as other similar. However, with the more beefed up pin in the holder it is worth the trade in this regard. The tiedown was painted nicely and made from quality metal products. The welds appear to be strong and the entire unit is built for long, quality life. At this price point, and getting four tie downs in a pack, this is definitely worth the money and will last a long time. ... show more

My husband chose these stake pocket tie-downs from HLMOptimo to add more safety options to his car hauler trailer. He is very impressed by the quality of these as well as the way they fit. The D - Rings are a good size and will give him several ways to tie down vehicles and other equipment when he’s hauling it. He did mention long-term if he decides to keep these installed, he plans to add high grade bolts rather than continuing to use the pins. His opinion is that the cotter pins could wear based on continuous installation on his particular trailer - based on clearance. These were marketed to be removed between uses and not stay installed all the time. We are very pleased with what the seller chose based on those specifications..
