Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviewed product garners mixed reactions, predominantly highlighting its efficiency, quiet operation, and maneuverability. Positive feedback emphasizes its performance and the convenience of being electric, negating the need for gas. However, negative reviews raise concerns about its battery life and durability, with several instances of battery failure significantly affecting usability and satisfaction. The product seems well-suited for users valuing a quieter, more efficient mowing experience but might disappoint those expecting long-term, hassle-free use.

Pros

  • 🔋 Efficient and quiet operation, ideal for residential use.
  • 🌱 Provides a nice, even cut without scalping the lawn.
  • ⚡️ Electric power means no need for gas, offering a more eco-friendly option.
  • 🔄 Excellent maneuverability, with reports of near-zero-turn radius.

Cons

  • 🔌 Several reports of battery issues, from quick drainage to complete failure.
  • ⚖️ Rear-heavy design may leave tire tracks and uneven cuts on some lawns.
  • 💰 High repair costs for battery replacement, significantly affecting overall value.
  • 👎 Some dissatisfaction with the cut quality when compared to traditional gas mowers or professional services.

Should I Buy It?

If you prioritize a quieter, more eco-friendly mowing experience and are willing to manage potential battery maintenance and replacement, this product could suit your needs. However, if you seek a low-maintenance, long-term solution or have a larger lawn, you might want to consider alternatives that offer greater reliability and fewer battery-related issues.

  • Efficient, Quiet, maneuverable,
This is the lower end of the Ryobi riders no phone charger but whos answering calls right. You could and be heard this is quiet runner not that you don't notice it running but it's much quieter than a gas powered. Typical riding mower, no suspension except in the seat for my height and weight it's sufficient, taller and heaver person might find it a little less comfortable. It's got get up and go like most electric vehicles no lag. Cuts evenly and smooth very little blade vibration. Speed is just right and it turns on a dime almost as sharp as a zero turn. Will update with video once I have one. ... show more

  • Great value!
This rinding mower is small yet powerful. It provided a nice cut at the lowest level and did not scalp my lawn where there are dips and holes from removed trees and stumps. It is extremely quiet without the blades engaged and relatively quiet with the blades engaged. It has a great turning radious and it is durable. The best part about this purchase is that I don't have to buy gas. I only need a bagger system. ... show more

  • It's heavy and it's the batteries!!!
Long story short bought one from home depot in 2020 1st thing I noticed I did not like and what I have not read in other reviews is its rear heavy due to the batteries so it leaves wide bent grass tire tracks in the grass. 2nd thing I didn't like was it does not leave a smooth cut like if you used a push mower or have a company cut your lawn. Lastly, like several reviews its the batteries batteries batteries, Also I learned to not let the grass grow long because that's MORE power needed for the blades to cut causing the batteries to drain even quicker than they already will. First year I could cut my front and back yards on 1 charge, the next year I had to recharge after the front yard I have about .75 acres and you could feel the batteries weakening quicker the blades stop eventually stop often in middle of cutting and you have to go charge it again. I used it for one season and sold it on craigslist the next year after 2 uses. ... show more

  • The key bends while in the ignition
You get 4 keys and mine are bent after cutting the grass and backing up into garage. I turn key off, but leave in the ignition until I manually maneuver into location around stuff in garage. I've tried to reach out to customer service with no response. I went into the home Depots store and they said they will see a representative who comes occasionally and have them cut me some more keys. Asked why would it be bending keys. She ( Nancy a manager) said she would mention it to the representative. I have a friend who has same mower and has had one key to bend thus far. ... show more

  • BATTERIES ARE JUNK
Delivered in August 2021. Maybe cut 3 or 4 times before seasons end. By the end of the 2022 the batteries wouldn't last to cut my 1/3 acre. 2023 got intouch with Ryobi. After a few tries we got a company that would fix it. It would cost $250 for pick up and he said the batteries are $250 each and Ryobi wants to have all 4 changed. $1250 so far without his labor to but them in. I paid $2200 + $1250=$3450 and my use was 8 maybe 9 months. So that means if I would do this in another year it would be at least another $1250. GREAT JOB RYOBI MAKING JUNK. ... show more

  • Don't be Deceived.
Lead Acid Batteries for this use isn't even a bad choice. It's terrible. And because of these makers are swarming to LI battery systems, in my opinion is proof they knew when they sold these things that they were not sufficient. The manufactures rushed to the market and I will admit was ignorant when I purchased my riding mower. LI is probably fine but I will not invest in one to find out. As the manufacture will not make even a partial adjustment. ... show more
