I used a gas weed eater for years and seized the motor. I wanted sometimes that I can throw away after a year or two of use and I was not expecting much. I found this combo which included the blower. It does exactly what I need and cheaper than repairing my gas. For all you haters... you get what you pay for! If you are expecting something more, spend more money on a brand name or an item that's "karen" approved. :) The only reason why I'm posting is because I got side tracked looking for weed eater string. Mine ran out and I should have known that this $100 combo will not come with unlimited string. Overall, it does what I need! It's not a high-end quality device, but it works. The blower is nice... it could be a little more powerful, but it just takes me a few seconds longer. I don't care about that. I just wanted something that works and that's good enough for me. Regarding the weedeater, a higher capacity string and an easy way to deploy it out would be nice. Is there one available? I don't know. This product performs the two utilities I've used which is weed-wacker and hedger. I have not used the chainsaw as I still need to purchase oil (should have been included). Assembly was fairly easy with a small bit of confusion due to your typical less than stellar instructions. Product construct overall is fairly solid though the right angle holding bar is practically worthless being so flimsy. It also comes with only one charger where both batteries are needed to run the unit. Effectively doubling your charging time in between uses. They do have a rather cheap charger available for purchase though. However, the lack of adjustable length proves to be an inconvenience, though not insurmountable for a shorter person such as myself (5'6"). Also, the weed wacker must be physically turned as it has no rotating head in order to do edges. I now see why buying a tool that does three jobs is perhaps less than optimal. Individual tools would have been much more adjustable and convenient to use for their relative functions. I will continue to use my beat up weed wacker till it finally dies over this new weed whacker simply because of the lack of adjustability. The power and cutting is not in question, just it's ease of use for someone my size. The hedger (which was the original reason for this purchase) will be used for the top of my hedges which are tall. However, I am considering purchasing a normal hedger to take care of the sides. Would I purchase this again? If I were 6 ft tall, yes. At 5'10 or shorter I would consider individual tools depending on your monetary situation. I needed an extendedable hedger and rather then go for the individual unit, I thought pay a few more bucks and get two more utilities. While this is still true, having used the extendable hedger now, I probably would have just bought a regular hedger and climbed the ladder like I always did. Life lessons as always :) Four stars rather than five for lack of adjustability, poor instructions for assembly, only one charger when two batteries are required. Just unboxed and tested the trimmer and chain saw they seem good no problems. The instructions on how to assemble are poor, do not lose the washer that goes under the plate for the string trimmer or you cant get a pin in to hold the trimmer head. The worst part is you need two batteries to run the unit but they only give you a single slot charger so you will have to wait to charge the batteries one at a time. Very stupid give us a double charger so we don't have to wait twice as long for recharge. ... show more

This product did not indicate that I could only get 15 min of use time after charging the two batteries for over 4 hours. This is crazy. I would never have bought this item if I knew that. The box this package came in was all bet up. I was informed that I would receive this item on Sat May 4th , bye 10 pm. After waiting 12 hours for the delivery I got a email saying sorry , but now you need to wait until Sunday evening bye 10 pm. all of Sunday for this package. So wasting two whole days, unreal. This has been a very bad experience . I hope Amazon will make this right with out a lot of hassle and wasted time. I did call the long distance phone number on the product ,and have spent over a hour with out fixing this problem. More cost of calling Canada and more waste of my time. I'm adding more information today, that I forgot to mention on the first review. After spending over a hour talking long distance with the number listed on the information booklet that came with this item , The company didn't call me back like they promised. This items information booklet, didn't tell you how to actually load the weed eater line or the actual size of line that should be used, like 065, 080 or 095. I've had many gas weed eaters in my life and most are easy to figure out, how to install the line. Not this unit. Now I'm concerned about trying to purchase a battery weed eater from Amazon. I hope the company or person selling this item deals with these issues for future buyers. Good Luck everyone.
