We installed one at our side door of our house, and now no water seeps under the door. We did the same for our apartment in Mexico. In Mexico we caulked the crack against the wall since there was no ledge above it, now the doorway is also dry from rain. :)

I had to tape it together after I assembled it just to get it up and mounted without falling apart. It was meant to be a temporary solution but I fully expect it to self destruct sooner rather than later.
