Already explained in the headline. This "beeping" sound was driving BOTH my wife and me CRAZY! Fortunately I was/am still a bit handy. I was able to silence this confounded "beeping" noise entirely. However, if I have the opportunity to take this scooter with me to an assisted-living institution, I have the ability to re-connect this horrible beeping noise again, so I don't back into any of the other residents. Another complaint: The turning radius is rather wide, but I guess that this itself is a safety measure that I can live with. I also employ a bamboo-filled seat cushion to raise my body up a bit.
