  • Size and Grommet Spacing Varies On Each Tarp
We bought 3 of these based on the dimensions and grommet measurements listed (The description states "Finished 6 inches smaller all the way around or up to 2 percent smaller." "Grommets every 18 inches apart.") They were to be used on a country wire horse fence, end to end, to create a temporary 58/60ft barrier. 5 stars on the quality of the fabric and the reinforced corners. HOWEVER!!! The first tarp we opened was actually 4ft x 20ft finished size (not 6" smaller). The second tarp we opened to butt up against the first WAS 6" smaller (3' 6" tall) AND the grommets on the short length side were sporadically spaced (first 2 were 9" apart, third was 24" from second, etc.) They didn't match up with the grommet spacing on the first tarp. Since these were to be connected to each other this created a bit of a dilemma. We haven't opened the third tarp yet so, at this time, it's a crap-shoot for what we will get. They all have the same packaging and same label. Quality control consistency doesn't appear to be a priority here even though the fabric, welding and corners are of good quality. Also, (image attached) all 3 tarps' labels show the Finished Size to be 4ft x 20ft... even though the description on Amazon displays "Finished 6 inches smaller all the way around or up to 2 percent smaller." Tarps are used for specific purposes and the the grommet spacing is important (not to mention the actual size). These tarps are heavy-duty and the fabric is as expected, as are the corner reinforcements. But, the size variations and the grommet spacing varies. ... show more

  • Terrible quality control
I have bought several of these and they have steadily gone downhill. One had several bad grommets, one had a tear and this last one is not square. One side is 20' the other corner is 3" shorter. Too bad they are made of good material. Will have to find another seller

  • Great value for the price
Good for the money. Kind of an odd size to shop for. Needed a long, 48" tall windbreak to attach to a chain link fence during the winter. Heavier than expected which is a plus. Only issue (which did NOT affect performance), one gormet was bent/slightly crushed, obviously from an automatic folding machine. Was still useable and tarp was undamaged. Great value for the price. ... show more

  • Perfect Size, Questionable Quality
I've had this tarp up now for about 6 months & I'm somewhat disappointed that it's starting to come apart. The tarp is hung up in an area with minimal exposure to the elements. However, I recently noticed that the paint is peeling off of certain areas, exposing the white material underneath. After all the good reviews, I was expecting more from this product. Bad batch? I must admit that the size is perfect for my needs at a reasonable price & I have not found any other source for this particular size. Just wish it was more durable. ... show more

  • Held up to dog claws....good enough for me!
These are incredibly durable. I used them along my fenceline over the last year to block the neighbor's dogs. They have held up to all seasons of weather, direct sun, strong wind, and of course dog paws/claws, and there's been no tears so far. Just ordered two more, and will be getting more in the future to cover more of the fence. ... show more

  • Still in great shape after 5 years of use
Excellent cover for firewood. Even after 5 years at 8500 feet, sometimes in direct sun and often in desiccating wind, this tarp outperforms all of my others. Amazed that someone makes a quality tarp that doesn't shred after a couple of years of UV at this altitude. About to buy another one as a temporary fix for a leaky 33 foot Airstream. ... show more

  • This is a great tarp!
Ordered this for the garden after a neighbor showed me he planted iris on a tarp about 3" deep. Then to divide them you pull up the plastic. Really neat idea and his iris are gorgeous! This one should do the trick easy. Only 4' wide so it'will be easy to fit into the garden spot. I can cut it and do several places. Very excited about gardening today! Thanks! This tarp should last several seasons easy! ... show more

  • I took 8 inch lengths of 2x4 and dangled them like anchors in the 2" side through every other grommet ...
Ash borer on our wooded property has caused our 12x20 woodshed to overflow. Heartbreak in itself. Ash will not keep if it's subjected to weather, and these heavy duty tarps provide a durable roof to keep the rounds dry that I've cut and stacked. I took 8 inch lengths of 2x4 and dangled them like anchors in the 2" side through every other grommet with fender washers and 1" #10 pan head screws. The result forms a nicely weighted roof with an overhang, not so heavy that it wears on the tarp (keep sharp edges off it from underneath), but heavy enough to keep from blowing off. The rounds get plenty of air and should last years until their turn comes up for splitting. I have four of the 4' and one of the 6' by 20', and (sob) I'm not done cutting and stacking yet. :-( Or buying tarps. ... show more
