We are selling our home and wanted a new patio set for the front of our home, but didn't have a huge budget. This set was perfect and fit the space well, looks charming and offered a spot to put a pot of flowers. Not high end, but exactly what was needed.     • A very nice patio set for the price, with one small complaint

I hate furniture I have to assemble myself, but I loved the black wicker look. The price was right, so I took the plunge. I pulled everything out of the box and realized none of the parts were labeled. Not good! However, it was fairly easy to figure out by comparing the pieces to the picture in the listing. The tiny Allen wrench they include seemed to be a joke, but as I didn't have any power tools charged and handy, I decided to see how far I could get with it. Surprisingly, I was able to complete the assembly using that tiny wrench. It wasn't pleasant, and a power tool would have made it much easier, but it worked. Two tips: 1. Do NOT tighten any of the bolts until everything is put together loosely. 2. If the chairs are wobbly, loosen the bolts a bit, hold the chair upright about a foot off the floor, and let it drop. This will adjust the legs evenly and then you can retighten the bolts with no more wobble. The cushions aren't the thickest, but for the price point, I wouldn't expect them to be. This patio set is nice, but it does have a short seat height, so review the measurements before purchasing. We are tall, so we ended up returning it. The seller was responsive and helpful during that process.

    • Nice sturdy set, but twice we got slightly used sets

First the good things. The chairs are very sturdy once assembled and so is the table. They are perfect for the small space we have in the corner of our garden - a lovely spot for enjoying a pleasant evening with something to drink. The chairs are also surprisingly comfortable. Another reviewer noted that they are a little low and they are, but they are still very comfortable and easy to get up from for those of us with bad knees. The cushions are nicely cushy too. Now for the bad. The first set we got was obviously previously opened. All the bolts and washers were loose in the box and the bottoms of the chair legs showed signs of use. We sent it back. A replacement set came quickly and also showed some signs that it had been opened previously. It was missing some of the washers, but we decided not to return this set as it was heavy and difficult to repack and carry to UPS. Instead we bought some more washers at the local hardware store. Assembly was mostly easy except the chairs each had one bolt that was extremely difficult to get screwed in despite following the advice other reviewers posted about not tightening any of the bolts until all the bolts were in place and partly screwed in, then work around tightening them all a little at a time. If we had gotten a truly new set, if we hadn't had to buy washers at our local hardware store, if two of the bolts had not been so hard to screw in, I would have give them set 5 stars as an excellent quality product for the price. I took off 2 stars for all the problems, but am otherwise very pleased and satisfied with this set. ... show more
