This costume is great because it leaves your entire upper body free, so it's not hot or all that bothersome. It is a little bit awkward having this giant inflatable T rex in front of you, but I still find this a lot less annoying than having a stifling mask on. Everyone seems to think this thing is hysterical. It got a really positive reaction and a lot of laughs, based on the small amount of people who happened to be around when it arrived at least. I'm a pretty fat guy, about a 40-inch waist, and I was still able to wear this without any squeezing or issues. It can be hard to find fat friendly costumes, so that was a big plus. For those that haven't ever seen one of these, I'll quickly explain how inflatable costumes work. They're made from a VERY lightweight material, and they weigh next to nothing. You can shove the whole thing in a small bag the size of a large purse when you're done. They come with a little battery pack that powers a pocket-sized fan, which goes in a little hidden (sort of) stash pocket down by the side of your leg. The pocket allows air flow to the fan because it's mesh, and the fan inflates the costume around you like a balloon. You plug the holes in the balloon with your waist and two feet, which have drawstrings to pull tight and allow the balloon to inflate. The inflator fan runs the entire time you wear the costume, and it's not as annoying as it seems like it would be. It's very quiet, but you do still hear a gentle hum, and some people might be hyper aware of it and find it irritating. It requires 4 AA batteries for the fan/inflator thing, and they are NOT included. I hate that. Overall though, still a more than passing grade from me. Good quality. Super cute, fits as described. Cinches at the waste and is adjustable for a snug fit so the air stays in. Elastic around the ankles and the feet cover over your shoes which makes it more comfortable to wear.

Fun for Halloween, but deflated easily and it ate through batteries in a few hours. We should've packed spare batteries for trick-or-treating. It's tough to move well in it, so make sure another parent is in charge of chasing the kids if trick-or-treating in it!
