I love these covers! I usually use a sheet to cover my plants during a frost. But the sheets wore out and fell apart before the winter was over. I wanted something that would stay on the plants in case the wind is blowing. I found these plant covers that look perfect for my needs. I tried to pull the fabric to tear it and couldn't. They are stitched together well and are sturdy. I really like the zipper closure, it will be easier to slip on the plant, and close is at the bottom to prevent it from blowing off. The fabric is not thin either and was made to be breathable. As you can see in the picture my tall plant is blooming so I just wanted to make sure the cover would be big enough. It will do. We have not had a freeze yet but it is December and the temperatures are dipping down below 40 at night so I want to be prepared. I bought the large covers to make sure they provided coverage and the price was right. I'm so happy I found these. ... show more

These frost covers are well made, sturdy zipper and thick material. I've purchased some in the past and they were thin material and tore easily--these are perfect. Great to keep on hand for those cold snaps. They have a zipper and a pull cord at the bottom to keep around base of trees. I recommend adding a couple of large rocks/bricks to the base when those fronts come blowing through. Also, add a bamboo stake through plant/tree (almost as tall as tree) and use a large binder clip (or 2) to attach the top of the frost cover to it to keep the wind from moving it around too much. ... show more

These are great! I am using a different product for my larger trees, but for some of my smaller/younger fruit trees these are perfect and nice and thick. Going to use them not only for freezes but also for windburn protection from hurricanes in the summer. These covers were much larger than I thought they would be, and are true to pictures in the ad. The fabric is non-woven polypropelene, that feels like a blend of paper and fabric. It is resilient, and doesn't fray or tear, but can be easily cut if needed. It reminds me (and may be) what is commercially known as Oly Fun. The zipper construction is good and makes it super easy to jacket a shrub or small tree. The drawstring is functional, but a bit modest.
