I got the set with black, gray and white silicone mats. I'm a purist with a long, classical art training and don't want the color reflecting back at me when I'm working. If I could have gotten all white, I would have been happier, but I'm okay with the black and gray. They main point of these is for when I work on my nails. I'm a hobbyist nail artist for myself... self teaching myself. I have all natural nails and well, it's a bit of a learning curve (even with my extensive art training) doing art on your own nails... you know the ones attached your hands. hah. So I can be a bit a disaster with the lacquer and the acetone... hence these silicone mats to protect both my surfaces and any surfaces for when i'm out of town (I travel quite a bit for work). These mats work quite well. They are not huge, but that is what I was going for. Mine measure in at 15-5/8" x 11.75" and find them the perfect size for my needs. Even for travel. I can fold them and put it in a poly-envelope along with some folded paper towels and i'm set for the road. Folding or rolling them does not leave any creases or curl to them that you have to fight, even if putting in your bag or luggage. They are not thick either.... actually rather thin, which I prefer as you don't notice a ledge transition if you're resting your wrist or arm over the edge. Not so thin you worry that you might rip it.... they are just right for me. Not too thick, not too thin. You can paint directly on them with your lacquers (for instance to color test), let it dry and literally peel it right off. You can even paint designs on the mat and use them for decals on your nails because they are that easy to peel off of the mat. I've had no issues with clean-up. Acetone hasn't affected them either. They way they hold up to that, makes me think they'll hold fine to anything I throw at them when crafting. So I see a set in my future for that. Just like any silicone though... everything else (like dust and lint) does stick to it. Cleans up easy though with just a damp microfiber cloth. I got these mats to use when I'm working with my hot glue gun. They make clean-up very easy because when the glue dries, it's very easy to remove from the silicone. And the mats are large enough I can cut them to a smaller size when/if needed. Great product, great price.

I use these for crafts and painting. They are awesome!! They are good quality and good size and clean up so very easily. Everything just peels or washes off including Paint and glue. Glitter has to be washed off. I love them.

Great texture on surfaces front and back. Good size for small projects. Nice material. Overall happy. These mats though are paper-thin I measured 0.6mm or about 0.024 inches thick. For that reason, the durability may or may not be super long, but they appear to be good quality.

    • Versatile safety tool in the kitchen

We have been using these for a variety of kitchen tasks, mostly related to safety. I put them under cutting boards to stop slipping. I also put one under a single burner induction cooktop for the same reason - it's rubber feet are not enough to stop movement on a formica counter. Today we were rolling out some very thin dough between two sheets of plastic that were slipping on the counter - the silicone sheet stopped that. I have also used them to catch hot messy spills, like when making candy or frying things. They clean up well. I rinse them under the faucset and then lay them on a towel on the counter to dry, flipping once to get both sides. I roll them up and store them in a carboard tube salvaged from cling wrap rollers. No issues at all with this product and I keep finding new uses. ... show more
