I love this charging dock. It's so easy to set up and will easily charge both the Wii U gamepad and rechargeable Wiimotes at the same time. It works with both standard Wiimotes and Wiimotion Plus controllers. As long as the back lid of the Wiimote has those 3 metal magnetic strips on it, it should work perfectly. I really appreciate that the Wiimote is rechargeable, as I use a lot of batteries in my one Wiimote alone. I'm constantly running my family out of batteries! So this charger helps with that issue. It's also very easy to display for convenience and also very easy to take with you if you're bringing your Wii or Wii U somewhere. Whether it be a trip or just to a friend's house. I bought this to charge our Wii U game pad since the game pad charging cable failed. I was impressed that it also would charge two remotes as well. I had previously bought a separate charger from a different company for battery packs for the remotes, and this charger also recharges those battery packs as well. The only problem we have with rechargeable battery packs in the remotes is that you cannot sync the remote to the Wii console with the packs in as they block the sync button. You have to put conventional AA batteries in while syncing, and then replace them with the rechargeable pack. ... show more

    • Works great for a couple different types of remotes
I have 2 different off brand wiimotes and an official gamepad, they all charge well. The only issue is that the straps on the remotes can sometimes make it difficult to get a good connection but the light indicator doesn't turn red if it's not charging so it hasn't been an issue catching it.
